I agree that it is about time for categories and would be willing to help out also.

Yes, the moderator has to be the one to do it but as we only have one moderator, maybe she could use some help. That's why I offered in case she's busy. As a stay-at-home mom, I have time to help.
As for really old discussion threads, they could be closed and/or archived into a seperate category. If closed, they can still be read, just not added to.

Rather than delete old threads I would rather see them archived. I find the older "what are you reading" threads have lots of good info. One of my other groups uses Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter with the year so we still have access but they are still easy to find.
The advantage to categories is that the most 5 or 6 active posts for each category show up. The categories can also have some order to them.
I agree Vicki. I joined recently and was trying to find threads that interested me and with 85 all in the general folder, it was alot to wade through. But there is still some good info in the older threads. I just thought some organization to categories would make it easier to find.

The moderator has to do it suzanne unless she appoints another moderator to help out. I just thought the group was getting big enough that it would make things easier to find.

I sorted the treads into folders now. So hopefully everything is easier to find. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

okay, I did a little reorganizing again and created a few folder to try to make things easier to find again.

Thanks!

There needs to be some way to keep track of all the reading challenges .......
I made an excel sheet for myself listing the challenges that I'm involved in which includes beginning/ending dates, possible books to read for each challenge as I locate one, book location, author, and a completion date for each book I've finished.
It's much easier to know what I need to read first now!!

- monthly theme
- seperate category for discussions on individual series
- archive old discussions
There are 85 discussions in the main default general category and it's not easy to sort through them all. (I'd be glad to help if you need any.)
