Welcome Jorielle and Anita. If you need any help let us know (even if it is a general Goodreads Question). I'm aways around!

Anita, you should pop into the members work Folder and take a look and take the time to shamelessly self promote your work. The only rule there is No Spamming! other than that you can add a little Bio, and promote your book... or just promote your book. it really is up to you :o)

Jorielle you have a beautiful name :o) it is definately one i have never heard before. does it have a special meaning?

Welcome Melissa, Don't feel Bad that you haven't done an intro straight away. we don't mind. You do things when your ready to. Being in a new group can be very overwhelming sometimes( so many nice new shiny things). that's why you start off introducing yourself. it kinda calms the nerves, especially if your really new to goodreads and groups in general.
well i know i was nervous back when i did my intro..... still feels like yesterday :o)

Gaijinmama | 5 comments Kyra wrote: "Has anyone read City of Bones?"
Not yet, and I've already bought enough books this month that my husband growls at me when the delivery guy shows up with a box from Amazon...but it does sound intriguing and is on my TBR shelf.
Now if the hubby would just grow fangs when he growls that would be even more intriguing...oh well, a girl can dream, right?

By the way, hi.
I'm Gaijiinmama, originally from Connecticut and Los Angeles in the U.S. but living permanently in the Land of the Rising Sun, Thin Girls With Cute Handbags, and Large Flying Roaches.
I'll read anything as long as it's good, but thanks to Goodreads I am now thoroughly addicted to paranormal romance and urban fantasy and I seem to have come to the right place here. So tell me, gals, what's the methadone for a fangs-and-fur addiction?

message 472: by Adele, Moderator (new)

Adele (mooturtil) | 1749 comments Mod
First of all Welcome Kyra. we are reading city of bones this onth as a BOM(thats book of the month). Head on over to the book of the month/group reads folder, and look for the topic May city of bones BOM(or something similar) and you will find a place to discuss the book.
we just ask if you use the spoiler HTML if you are going to use any spoilers(to find out how to do this, head on over to the help around goodreads topic found in this folder).

Gaijiinmama, there is no cure for fur and fangs except more fur and fangs.... welcome to the group.
we have a few discussions that will help you add more onto your TBR pile, Add the buddy reads and the reading challenges and the BOM and well i don't think you will find you won't be short of reading material.

Mari Miniatt (MariMiniatt) | 9 comments Thanks for the invite.
I read and write about vampires. My favorite monsters (trolls are starting to push them aside) for a long time.
It was Fred Saberhagen that got me excited about vampires again. If you ever get a chance to read The Dracula Tape, it is a great read.
I prefer my vampires old school and not in high school if you understand me.
Thanks for the invite again.

C.S. Daley Hello,

I'm Christopher. I teach during the day and then write all night. I have recently started publishing my books to the Kindle and Nook. I have sold enough copies to buy a large cup of coffee ;)

message 489: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo Hiya, everyone and thank you Nicola for the invite. I live in Northern NJ. And I've been just getting into more fantasy and vampire books. usually it's romance, mysteries and thrillers. I do enjoy charlene harris's book. And I've tried the 1st twilight haven't gotten to the other's. and I'm not reading lara adrian's kiss of midnight and loving it. I have a nook so that seems to be a good way to check authors you haven't checked out before. I still enjoy reading DT books. since I used to be a book buyingholic. since the nook came into my life the buying of DT books have been cut way down. I look forward to getting to know all of you, getting some good book recommends. just give me time to catch up I just got back from a week away (it's usually just weekends at the shore but I and stayed longer) I had my mac with just didn't get the time to come online except for fast emails. usually summer it's that way.

Hello and welcome Christopher and Donnajo!
you will find heaps of reccomendations here. you can check out our bookshelf and see the books there. you might also want to add some books we may have missed.
Christopher if you haven't already, you might want to put a little plug for your book/s in the authors work area.

If anyone has any questions please visit the questions and suggesions topic and post your question there.

we are starting a new writing competition today i'll be sending out an email(i do a mass weekly email/ newsletter) later oin this week so keep an eye out for it. :o)

message 491: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo adele thank you for the welcome. I'll have to check the board out more when I can give it extra time. I'm running out today again. so only came online for a little while. the one thing I want to say is the more I read posts on GRs the more I can't believe how we connect people from so many locations. not only USA. It's amazing. I'm trying to decide what I want to take today with me if I get alittle time to read. but I'll probably be playing with my niece's little 1 year old she just started walking last week and she's all over the place. I was with her this past weekend. plus I'll be watching her when my sister goes to pick up her older brother in nursery school (he's 4)
