Steven (tbones) | 4 comments Hey everyone, I'm Steven and I've been in here for some time now. This is a pretty cool group and I try to be involved with the voting as much as possible. I don't always get to read the BOM but know there have been some awesome titles chosen in this group. What are some newer vampire titles I should check out? Oh also I do have one to recommend Richard Laymon's Stake is a great book with a very fresh ending to the vampire legend.
Anyway, vampires are a pretty awesome creature to read about but I really enjoy it when someone can come up with something that has never been done before with them or adds them to something with other creatures as well.

Wow so many new people....that is fantastic.
Welcome everyone to the group where reading paranormal books are normal...cheesy I know, but it was either that or comment on how tasty new neck would be. And I decided that it was a bit creepy,so I chose cheesy option.
Anyway enough of my internal monologue.

Welcome to the group. Feel free to jump in any conversation. As long as you stay near topic we don't mind.

Adele (mooturtil) | 1749 comments Mod
Summer , we have a monthly group read ( the book that's featured on the homepage of the group is what we are reading).
We also have a book recommendation topic for people, as well as a topic for people to say what they are reading right now. So go forth and explore!
Maddie, Iloved history when they decided to teach it. Middle ages is my favorite period of time. Very brutal and horrible. I love reading about it and I am just so glad that it is history and not current events

Lee-Anne Stanford (lee-annestanford) | 3 comments Hi, I'm Lee-Anne. I've been lurking quietly for a while trying to figure out how to post as I am usully accessing via my phone. I love to read and love paranormal and vampire series in particular these days. I have two young girls aged 6 and 4 who seem to be following in my footsteps, a beautiful beagle named Molly, a grumpy cat called wicket and an amazing husband who can deal with me having my nose stuck in a book or on my phone for hours on end!

Hi lee-anne,
If you need assistance in the group just let me know.
Do you use the app or go through the browser? I use a combination of both. There are some things that as a moderator I can't do on the app. But I started off using the browser and have a tendency to prefer it.

Lee-Anne Stanford (lee-annestanford) | 3 comments I tend to use the app on my phone and when I can sneak a moment at work I use the browser which has much more functionality.

Hi Connie , sorry about the late reply. I have been soo busy catching up on reading & writing my reviews( still have to type them up). I understand wanting to spend every bit of free time reading. I began using goodreads as just a tool to keep track of my books...I then discovered groups and...well my free time now is split between here and reading.( I wouldn't have it any other way really).lol
Its up to individuals if they lurk or not. Its up to mods to make a group comfortable enough so people want to take that step to make that comment.
I have been in groups, and lurked but finally found something to say and contribute.often that is the hardest bit to do.
So congratulations on making that step. And we hope to see more of you.

Hi Connie! I did the same thing as Adele and just came here to read up books, keep tabs on books I liked, etc,... The group thing threw me a for a loop. I had no idea people were as crazy about types of books and I was very introverted about books I liked because of that. You will get comfortable here and no one here will judge you because we are all the same. We like vampires, angels, paranormal, romance, undead, zombies... We love it all! Come and play with us... We don't bite.. (Well, I do... Hehe)

Madeline Pryce (madelinepryce) | 11 comments Hello everyone!! I'm new here, Norma - one of your lovely mods, told me about your group. I'm excited to be here. The group picture (vamp biting the sexy man) was the stock photo I used for my self published book! (this was before Ellora's Cave picked it up, by ya know) - I knew this was the place for me.

I'm 31 (or 32) I can't remember. I'm a mother, a reader and a writer. I love zombies and my favorite show is the Walk Dead. If I could make Daryl my fictional boyfriend I would.

we have an area for shameless self promotion. our authors unite topic s where you will find it.
this year we are cracking down on self promotion however that topic will never change.
