I usually don't post links to my other blogging work here, but I thought this one might be of interest because we have a few fans of the Malazan Book of the Fallen in the group:
I'm very excited about this opportunity, which came about simply because I'd been asking some people at Tor whether they were planning to do a re-read of this series (similar to their ongoing re-reads of WoT and LotR) and finally one of them asked me if I'd be interested in running it! So I asked Bill, one of my Fantasy Literature colleagues, to help out (because the series is so long and so complex), and, well, here we are!
By the way, connected to this, there's also still a giveaway running at Fantasy Literature, where you can win one of 3 copies of the first novel in the series:
PS We also need to start thinking about possibly arranging a new series to read here in Beyond Reality, but because of this Malazan project, I'll probably need someone to volunteer and lead the discussion. I've already had to stop re-reading the Miles Vorkosigan books because of this new project...
