Thanks for posting this site -- I wasn't aware of the Google book search!

Most books on google book search offer preview of the book. some even has the whole book online, if the author agrees to it or if the book is out of print.

I belong to bookreporter.com which does great reviews of all genres. It is a great way to develop a reading list. I also get mailing from compulsive reader.com, whose author is a member of goodreads. If you aren't familiar with either site it is worth a look.
