Like Carolyn in this group I have tons on books sitting in my house waiting to get read. I am going to see if I can go from June 1 until the end of the year without BUYING any new books and see how many of the ones I can get through that I already own. I am not going to stop accepting books that I am given I just want to see if I can go 6 month without spending money on books.

That's a great idea, Nan and Carolyn. I'm going to think about doing that myself, but it is going to be difficult not to buy anything :)
Sera - I agree with you but I gave myself a start date of June 1 so maybe I can get a few before then and I said BUY not receive so if I get the book from someone or trade it on PBS I don't consider those. I will still be able to make a nice sized dent it the books I have or at least I hope I can.
3.All We Know of Heaven - Jacquelyn Mitchard.This book is an ARC I got and is based on the true story of Two teen age girls who are in a car accident and there is a mistake made when identifying the victims. The book will be coming out in June . Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down and finished it in one night.

June was not a bad month for me. I don't have my list for the ones that I read earlier in the year but I've beating back my 4 100 gallon tubs of books, but with my addiction I still keep buying books, But I have rules I can only buy 1 book for every 3 that I read.
Margaret - I like that idea and as I get rid of some of the books I have, I might try that rule.I will probably start that next year. One of the things in my family though is that my mom is an avid reader and gives me the books she read if they are good so the number of books in my TBR area keeps increasing even though I don't buy them but i am not about to turn down free books.
