Tammy (pdx_tammy) | 18 comments Has anyone else read Covet yet? I was really into it and can't wait until the second one comes out! I think its going to be called Crave. There were several overlapping characters from the BDB including Trez (no mention of iAm), but since its the "fallen angel" series Im really hoping we see Lassiter.

Sally (larwos) | 258 comments Oh, I'm glad you agree. I just love it and like you, cant wait for second book in the series. I feel BDB is getting darker and darker and this one is great!!

I wanna live in Caldwell, NY LoL ... I think that the "fallen angel" series is going to be on the road, although I do hope that Jim ends up back in Caldwell and we run back into some of the characters we love!

Mhollie | 178 comments I loved Covet. Can't wait for Crave. Can't wait for Lover Mine. I love how the books overlap. I didn't realize it until I re-read the BDB series after I read Covet, but heroine in Covet was in one or two of the BDB books at Zero Sum. She managed the girls.

message 5: by Tammy (new)

Tammy (pdx_tammy) | 18 comments Yeah, they totally overlap! That's what I liked too and I really hope since its the "Fallen Angel" series that she gives Lassiter a book of his own :-)

message 6: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I loved covet, I liked also how some of the characters and scenes from the BDB books were intertwined within this book. I can't wait until Crave I am curious now to read about all of jim's conquests and the people he meets and the lives he changes...also how bad he will piss off Devina as well heehee.

I doubt howver Lassiter will get his own book, since the series is about Jim, and his seven chances. Now we might see him as a guest appearance per-say but I don't see a full book for Lassiter, unless he gets one in the BDB series. TBH!

message 7: by Tammy (new)

Tammy (pdx_tammy) | 18 comments Yeah, ur probably right ... But I want more info on Lassiter. I guess I really don't care in wich series bc I'm sure I'll read them all. But what's his back story? Why do he and Vishous hate each other? You know, everything.

message 8: by Samantha (last edited Apr 01, 2010 09:12PM) (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) yeah Lassiter was perty funny actually I enjoyed his character and do hope we see more, and I think we will because he was supposed to stay with Thorment, for some time, and I don't think Thorment is fully there yet.

also those are great questions some that I hope to see answered in future books, if not Lover Mine.

Vanessa theJeepDiva (thejeepdiva) I LOVED COVET! I loaned it to a friend & she lost it. Now I have to buy another copy. I see everyone thought about will we Lassiter. I assumed with this being the Fallen Angel series he would be one of the main characters & she had used the BDB to introduce him.

On to book 4 I find myself reading ahead it is really so silly. I have to say this sereis has alot of events that are not expected so I really do love it. Can you tell me why V gave Butch blood? Or will i figure it out soon enough. I just thought maybe I missed something

I can't remember I have to do a re-read of the series.

Mhollie | 178 comments You'll find out in book #4 Lover Revealed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #4) by J.R. Ward

message 13: by Kate (new)

Kate (kshiv) | 96 comments I really liked Covet. I am glad to have a set number of books to look forward to going along with Jim's quests. I totally loved the carryover's form BDB. My favorite was when Marie Therese ran into Phury leaving NA.
PS Lover Mine is so close I can taste it!

message 14: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Michael | 5 comments I'm glad to see so many people liked Covet. I started it but had a hard time getting into it. I'll give it another try. Maybe I should try to finish it before Lover Mine comes out.

message 15: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) OMG it's just another series book I am waiting for....Sometimes I hate being addicted to series books. LOL! maybe I should slow down on reading????

message 16: by Lenore (new)

Lenore (lenorenrr) | 528 comments I am not 100% sure, but I think Lassiter gets his own book in BDB.

message 17: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) that would be cool!

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 737 comments I'm pretty sure that Ward has confirmed that Lassiter is part of the BDB world, and not necessarily the same kind of angel from the Fallen Angels series, so I don't think we'll see him in it. I can't wait to learn more about him in BDB though - I love what I've seen of him so far - he brings back the humor we used to have with the troika before they were all mated off.

message 19: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) lol true!

message 20: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) can i read covet without reading any of the BDB? I have the first one of that to read, but also Covet...thanks!

message 21: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) um yeah because I guess you could because it's set in the same place as the BDB's but isn't really tied to the BDB's, and very few parts actually coincide with the BDB's. So it might not throw you off any.

message 22: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) Thanks! I just saw mention reoccuring characters from BDB and wanted to check, since I don't really know any of them

message 23: by Angela (new)

Angela (angbens) | 343 comments I liked it, but didn't get into as much as the BDB series.

message 24: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Bair-Epps | 725 comments me too Angela

Covet was really good. JR Ward did a good job overlapping the characters. It brought you into all her books that way. I cant wait for the next one.

message 26: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I can't either!

message 27: by Cristal (new)

Cristal | 4 comments i finished covet last night. i cant wait till april 27th

message 28: by Cristal (new)

Cristal | 4 comments i bypassed covet for awhile in the store, then when i finally read it n seen she utilized characters from black dagger, i thought it was pretty neat

message 29: by Cristal (new)

Cristal | 4 comments i cant wait to see what happens with john

message 30: by Cristal (new)

Cristal | 4 comments i was reading up the posts....delicious dee, i read zadists book first, after that i was hooked n back tracked to the first in the series n went in line from there....u could read covet before bdb (as yall r callin it) it doesnt get very specific about the bdb characters

message 31: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) cristal - thanks! I do have the first BDB to read, but i'm afraid i'll enjoy it and I can't afford to buy anymore books right now...silly bills ;)

message 32: by Kristin (new)

Kristin | 89 comments I liked Covet alot.

I like the way she overlapped the stories, but still gave Covet its own world...so the "guest appearances" were not too overkill...juuuuust a taste of BDB.

I really like Jim's character and his side kicks. I can't wait to see where she takes the story next!

Do we know how many more BDB books there will be?
