So, when I read the book, I was hooked by the first few chapters. And to be honest, I was hooked by the whole book.

It's sad that, now, the whole series gets a bad reputation because of how it went downhill.... I loved the first three books.

I was in the bookstore yesterday meandering around the Teen/YA section (like I do) when I stopped at the sight of FANG. I paused to look at it, and then looked near it where the rest of the series was. I saw books 1 and 2, but rather than the book cover saying something like "A Maximum Ride Novel, #1" it said "The Fugitives, #1". And I stopped, and got angry. Since when has Maximum Ride been "The Fugitives", Mr. Patterson?

Sorry. That just irritated me.

i didnt really like how he split them up either :( granted i still am completly in love with the series!

I just tell people to read only 1-3... I think FW is a waste of time....

I want to read them, but at the same time, I don't... And I CERTAINLY don't want to buy them...

lolz. i'd like to buy them, i just don't have the money too, and they aren't high enough on my 'need to buy' list for me to actively do anything about it.

I mean, I like books, but I usually only buy books if they're REALLY high on my "need to read" list or if I have read them and know I will want to reread them.

ya. i don't buy too many books on a whim- i normally get 'em all from the library.

We have a relatively small library, so I usually borrow from friends...

my friends aren't big readers. though one of 'em is starting to read almost as much as me! it's sorta scary, cause she, like, never used to read before- in the almost 6 years that i've known her. lolz

Haha, most of my friends don't read either, but I have one friend who is kind of my "book buddy". The rest of my friends just think I'm insane.

Hence why I don't buy books often except around Christmastime... My birthday is three weeks after Christmas, so I get an abundance of money/gift cards around then, and don't really get much else the rest of the year.

I need an income...

Technically I could start now... But jobs require time and a means of transportation, and as of right now I have neither. ;)

same here hopefully i can find something within biking distance as of next month

I would say, "I'll get a job over the summer." But since I'll be out of town for most of it, that's out of the question...

Went to the bookstore today, with a couple of gift cards (my friends and family know what I like :). I came really close to picking the first one up, but didn't. I'll probably get the ebook soon...

(Probably a silly question, but...) Is it worth it to buy it? (over borrowing it)

Personally I like being able to reread books I like when ever I want so I bought the series
