My TBR list is HUNDREDS long!!! :)
BTW, I just checked out The Corrections and it looks very interesting! I may read that one first. (My Dad had Parkinson's.)

Joel Arnold

Donna
The Haircut, a New Year's Tale
New Coastal Times

This sounds interesting, must look it up...

I have that book to read eventually. Seems to have fantastic reviews.

Members, please permit me one brush with self-promotion. My novel, She-Rain, just launched on Kindle and Nook. From the very sophisticated readers here, I'd love to hear reviews. I'm honored to have you in the world of She-Rain.
Warmest gratitude,
m

I agree that Kindle makes reading easier! I've been reading far more since I got mine.
I just finished Josh Lanyon's Adrien English mystery series--fantastic! Now I'm moving on to The Help by Katheryn Stockett.

Please, let me know how you like The Help. Here's to the Southern tale.
Warmest peace,
m

Help is a good read

I'm almost half-way through The Help now, and I'm completely absorbed. It's moving, funny and appalling all at once. (Appalling as far as the setting goes, I mean. It's an unflinching look at one aspect of the racial tensions and inequalities of Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960's.)

don't know if you've read Long Song by Andrea Levy, i'm reading it at the moment, about slavery on the sugar plantations and the end of it, superb.

Right now I'm reading Sins of the Seventh Sister and The Women.
I'm reading "Just Let Me Lie Down" by Kristin Van Ogtrop, the editor of Real Simple Magazine. It's about her adventures as a working mother. Just started but pretty entertaining and humorous so far...

I loved that book Ellen. Great read and funny. I'm reading fitness and health books right now. Need to get in shape and start eating better.

Ratking

did you read any of the others in the series. If you get chance the TV adaptation is really good

I haven't, but I keep meaning to. PBS always does such a good job, I'm sure it's excellent. I'll look for it.

Kathy, you are just in time. The final book in the series...#6....is coming out in March. I can't wait! You won't have to wait the 10-13 years in between each book like alot of us did. Lucky you! Enjoy! :)

Though at this point I should say dragging myself through Eat Pray Love. The first portion of India in the Ashram I am finding very tedious. I can't wait till she takes off travelling again.
I have so many I want to read but i'm thinking I might grab the first Discworld book by Terry Pratchett next.

I Do ( Dedicated to my wife Quanda )
Two words that mean everything
Two words that come with a ring
Two words that stand for something
Two words that without which I have nothing.
