I started this thread for any general questions or ideas people have about the group, to help with planning, and to offer info without having to send out mass-emails. (I'll still send group-wide email when there's a book vote scheduled)

The poll for the JULY group read is up and running.
ALSO- in an effort to give everyone more time to obtain their books for the group read we will be running the poll for AUGUST immediately after the July poll closes. It's still a little close for the July read, but all subsequent polls should give about a month lead time. I hope this helps.
Be sure to vote in both if you plan to join the reads.

To accommodate our goodreads authors in the group, we have set up a thread specifically for posts that are promoting your own books. Spread the word about your books in that thread, it is dedicated to you!

In the future, all authors should posts their promotion messages there. Self-promoting posts that occur elsewhere in the Science and Inquiry group will be deleted as off-topic.

Just wanted to let group members know that I am stepping down as a moderator, but I'm sticking around this great group!! A HUGE thank you to both David and Melissa for being awesome moderators and making this group so much more interesting. You are both great!
