Keri | 50 comments Why is it that Anita Blake probably has more "power" than any other heroine out there yet everytime she's in a bind she doesn't seem to be able to use it? She somehow always gets out of the situation but it's always from some new power or something - she doesn't ever seem to be able to use the power she supposedly already has. And although I love Jean Claude it's the same thing - he's so powerful and everyone fears him yet he never seems to be strong enough to contribute much to the fight. Is it just me???

Deanne | 209 comments I so get what your saying! I really enjoyed this series, but it had it's draw backs and those were two main ones
if you had these powers would not kick some ass with out the assistance of your very femine boyfriend? Of course you would. For a smart girl, who never wanted to be
tied down, she sure is on the wrong path.

Desperado (lethallovely) | 453 comments The only power I remember Anita having, especially in LKH's later books,is the "power" of the V.She used to be badass, but now she relies on sex to get her out of trouble.Like Flirt? She used the power of sex to get out of a bind instead of her other noteworthy skills. Its like she's saying "Why use my detective skills/necromancy/martial arts/et cetera when I can lay down some sexual loving?"

Deanne | 209 comments Lol. I laugh cause you are right!
As much as I liked this series I much rather L. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series.
The power of the V, love it ! LOL

Keri | 50 comments Thank you! I'm glad there are others that wonder the same thing. The power of the V is great.
