Ani is selling a limited release of her music on vinyl just today to celebrate. Last year we got a kick-ass MMJ album in commemoration of vinyl day. I ♥ it.
In high school and college, I spent more time in record stores than in class.
Browsing CD's just ain't the same. Especially on line.

What do you think? Do record stores still have a place in the world or will they go the way of typewriter stores? How can record stores evolve to survive?
I grew up spending a ton of time in record stores. I loved hanging out and looking at records even if I didn't have the money to buy them. I spent a ton of time at Rolling Stone records, just out of Chicago next to the Harlem-Irving Plaza. The store is known for the cardboard cutouts on the roof...

I also did a ton of time at Wax Trax and Reckless when we were old enough to take the L deeper into the city.
What about you?
