Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Anyone interested in a challenge?

message 2: by Alycia (new)

Alycia I'm always up for challenges as long as they are flexible and the criterion isn't too strict :)

message 3: by Ann (new)

Ann Noell (fantasyannie) Yes; what are you think about?

message 4: by Fran (new)

Fran | 88 comments I am addicted to challenges! Have some going on RRRC and Seasonal Reading Challenges and SOS series but I am always game for more!

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Feel free to start a challenge here. The only current one is the July Hot Challenge.

I'll do another for August but welcome to start any that u want :)

Ann Noell (fantasyannie) I'm not very good thinking up a challenge, but could we do something with a Medieval theme? Anyone got any ideal's ?

message 7: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments a Medieval challenge sounds good. We need to think of something that would make it more of a challenge, though, other than it's a medieval. Perhaps a medieval that has certain elements, like love/hate or kidnap theme or takes place in a country other than England or has hero/heroine with unpronounceable name...

Wow Pamela, you are creative. I am no good at coming up with the challenges but I would love to participate!

Fran | 88 comments Maybe since this is the Happily Ever After Cafe one of the words in the title has to be Happily,Ever or After. More points if you have 2 or all 3 words in title?

We could save that for after the ABC challenge is done if you want. Could you start the thread when you want to run it? Thanks Pamela! Or...you can make it a bonus read at the end of the ABC challenge- after the whole alphabet is complete. That might work out well! Actually, I think reading 26 medievals in 2 months is going to very difficult and many won't make it to the bonus. I don't know, what do you think?

message 12: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Gosh if anyone gets through the entire alphabet I'll be totally amazed! I was thinking I'd be happy if I made it to H or so.

But great idea. I'll wait to start this later.

message 13: by Ann (new)

Ann Noell (fantasyannie) It's October, how about a paranormal challenge?

message 14: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Sure got any ideas? I don't read paranormal for the most part but we can certainly do a challenge.

message 15: by Ann (new)

Ann Noell (fantasyannie) It does not have to be paranormal, how about gothic-romance, just something on the spooky side. I'm not very good in the ideal department. How about read a gothic book, a ghost book, a whitch book; something like that.

message 16: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments You want to do a challenge that involves a "haunted" house? Or anything that involves one of the classic monsters? A werewolf, vampire, frankenstein type monster or ghost?

message 17: by Ann (new)

Ann Noell (fantasyannie) werewolf's, vampire's, monster's, oh my! yes that sounds like fun!

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Anyone got ideas for a March challenge?

message 19: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments I did an All Things Irish challenge last year for March. If the story took place in Ireland, or the author was from Ireland, or the characters had Irish names like Patrick, Sean, etc.... if it could be tied to St. Patrick's Day IN ANY WAY, it was countable.

message 20: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments That sounds easy enough :)

That's why I call them "Not Too Challenging Challenges" LOL

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Well, I didn't do an April challenge. Does anyone want a May challenge?

message 23: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (last edited Apr 20, 2011 01:03PM) (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Sure, Pamela. I'm in for something easy. I know I can spell "May". Maybe "May Flowers" or something.
