You are probably best off suggesting it as a new function in the Feedback thread.

Edit: All make the suggestion in the Author Feedback Group

Correction. Only that author or a GR staff member can edit it.
Marisa, maybe the author would be willing to share their login information with you?

Thank you all for getting back to me so quickly with your suggestions.
I think what happened in the past was that I was able to go in and edit our authors' pages prior to their gaining Goodreads Author status, so that accounts for this author's page being the first I was unable to edit. It does make sense that Goodreads would want to protect those pages after an author has taken control of their own page. I'll see what I can do to work around this with the author, either by requesting their login info or asking a GR staff member to make changes.
Many thanks again!
Marisa
This is my first time listing a topic/question in the group, so I hope I've put this question in the proper place.
I'm the Marketing Assistant at Graywolf Press and I'm trying to help one of our authors edit her Goodreads Author page (upload photo, update bio, etc.). I have Librarian status and have had no problem going in and editing our other authors' pages, but for some reason when I go in to edit this author's page, I get the following message:
Sorry, this author is on Goodreads and is responsible for editing their own data. Data for other authors can be edited if you have librarian status.
Does this mean that once an author has Goodreads Author status I am no longer able to help them work on their page? I've been encouraging all of our authors to start Goodreads author pages, but I also offered to help them work on their pages as most of them are new to the site and need help navigating it. Is there any way around this? Is there some way an author can grant permission to multiple users to have access to edit their page?
Many thanks,
Marisa
