I love Dani and the relationship between her and Mac. I think Mac needs it just as much as Dani, it reminds her of Alina.

Im sorry but I hate her with a passion, I find her annoying, and I feel she will get in the way of what Barrons and Mac have.

I get tired of her using Frell all the time!! Get a new swear word!!!!

I agree with Courtney, she annoys me a little bit. I don't see her as an awesome chic like Mac who could carry a book series if she is in the spin off.

I dont know I always kinda liked Mac, even blonde and girly Mac...

I could take or leave Dani. I think she is okay in small doses. I do think her fascination with V'Lane is funny. She swears she's gonna marry him someday. LOL

I love when Dani says she's going to give her virginity to V'lane and then changes it to Barrons after meeting him, lol.

I agree with you guys about how Dani was more likeable before getting the story from her point of view. I think a spin-off from her POV would be interesting though, because we would get the opourtunity to see her mature.

I think it would be great if an older Dani was in a spin off series. I think she has something in her blood too. She is almost as fast as Barrons. And i liked Mac at the beginning too.

I love love love Dani. It's going to be interesting to see how she will be full time if you know what I mean. I trust that Karen will find a way to suck me in and will definitely be reading Iced.

I have to admit that when I first read Dani she wasn't my fave. I thought she was a Typical teenager. A Little annoying, selfish and all about her. But after reading Iced I see her differently and I'm in love with what she will become. Her story can go and grow in so many different directions. I feel for her already. I see her making hard decisions that are going to be hurtful and will
have her questioning.

Hi Sharmilla! I hate YA because of the bratty perspectives, but surprisingly love Dani for some of those same reasons. Speaking as girl who had to raise herself too, something in her mishmash of immaturity and knowing too much for her age called to me. KMM excels of writing emotional aspects of her characters that seem "true" despite the supernatural bents of her stories.

I love KMM writing, especially when it comes to Dani. Moring keeps a nice balance of YA and adult, that's I guess will make the transition as we read about Dani becoming an adult. She writes it so well that I can't wait for Dani to make that finial break through! I can't wait!

I can't wait to see her all grown up. I just hope she still has some of her innocence. It is what makes her endearing to me.

Does anyone else think it's really interesting how Dani tries to come off more brattish than she really is? Like when she starts using fancy words and geeking out and she adds 'dude' and 'feck' as a cover up.

I didn't find her bratty but just a normal teen. She uses that dude and feck as a way to cover up her geekness. She is suppose to be all cool in her head. I love when Ryodan called her on it.

Yeah those were some of my favorite scenes in Iced. When Jayne and everyone start going wtf. Lol.

You know, when everyone starts looking at her funny. After she starts geeking out in Ryodan's office, after the HFK freezes her sword.

I remember the scenes. I think it is because she is acting mature that is why they look at her funny? Ryodan also says to her some times during iced that she is starting to sound grown up!

Do you guys know which unseelie prince Dani killed and christian is now becoming? It wasn't war, cause cruce was still alive. Did she kill death? Cause Christian seemed sort of obsessed with death in Iced.

If Dani is number ten!! The nine is going to be very very possessive of her!!!! This might just be Dani perfect HEA. She will have nine men that will let nobody or nothing hurt het ever again!!! And nine men to fight with and stay with! Ooh I am getting a warm happy feeling know!! KMM said in one of her Q&A that she is going to give Dani the perfect HEA for her. This might just be that. She will definitely have somewhere to belong!

Awww, that'd be so sweet. They'd be like the perfect, (admittedly sort of psycho) adoptee family for her.

I like Dani, but as a side character. I sort of skimmed through Ice, not a fan of her series. Personally I hope Dancer and Dani end up together, I feel sorry for Dancer he seems like such a great guy (kid?), an has no one but Dani. I'm in the minority here but I don't want Dani and Ryodan to have a romantic relationship. Even being 19 in the next book I still think of her as a kid and it gives me the creeps. I also wonder how KMM will pull off the time change, and what's happened in the few years since the last book time frame took place, if that makes any sense. I mean Dani is 19 and she was 14 since the last book, so what happened? I wouldn't even mind a Dani and a Christian pairing though I definitely don't want her with one of the nine. And I wonder if Christian when he gets out of his ice pack will even try and attack Mac, since he blames her for his transformation.

Hey, there are probably more Mac/Barrons fans than Dani/Ryo fans. That's what make it all fun to discuss her. We all have different taste.

Ooh I wasn't a Mac girl, at the beginning the series. I though Mac was selfish, vain, egotistical, naïve, and thought the world should revolve around her, blind, and ignored a lot of things right in front of her (Barrons), and denial, but I've come to like her character and the way she changed.

I guess I don't want Dani to be with one of the nine because they are so masculine and sexual, among a lot of other things, and I still see Dani as a kid. Yea she has had a lot of adult experiences, but to me I'll still see her as 14 even though she's going to be 19, and there are a lot of experiences she missed out on growing up that would have better prepared her or that I think she needs. I think Dani is still finding herself especially after everything Ro did to her and used her for, I think she has a long way to go. Just the thought of her and Ryodan or Lor is yuck. I really like Dancer and think he knows her more than anyone else could. Christian yea he is an adult, but I don't find him with Dani as gross, though I wouldn't want it to be a fast process if they ever got to that point, and I really don't want to read a sex scene with Dani.

Also I thought in Iced Christian got frozen by the ice monster?

That's interesting. I can see your point but I don't think that if she ever sleeps with Ryodan it would be yucky because she would be an adult. She is going to grow up. Her journey is about self-discovery, finding a sense of belonging and love. It will make her story sweeter. As far as Lor. Not even a factor to me because I think they will have a friendship. Dancer, yes he knows her, he is closer to her age. However, we don't know anything about him. He is a big mystery.

Mac's story was about finding strength. Shedding some of that glitz princess-y crap. LOL.

That would be interesting if they make an appearance to get him. Since they might not know he disappeared, I would say Dani.

If the Hag took him back to the King's white mansion Dani would need help to get there, and the only ones who have been there besides her are Mac and Barrons. Probably they should try to find a way to lock everyone else out since it's a dangerous place to be, lest someone come in and start opening things.

Maybe unless she stumbles upon an entryway herself. Dani finds herself in weird situations by accident.

I wonder if her and Dani will work everything out. I mean in Iced Mac had been trying to contact Dani and send her messages to meet and talk, but Dani never went because she didn't want to fight with Mac? Am I remembering that right? And then at the end Mac confronts Dani and tell her to drop her sword, not the friendliest way for someone who wants to make up. But the small description of Burned says they're still enemies, so I'm guessing they didn't work things out? If it's because Dani doesn't believe Mac can and did forgive her because she can't forgive herself or understand it?

Well Mac has to tell Dani to drop the sword because she knows Dani first instinct is to fight especially since her way of flight is muted at that moment.

Maybe it didn't work out but there are so many other things we got to know, why would KMM want to drag that out? Doesn't add much to the story. I believe they make up. Something else must happen.

So remember that teaser where Dani is watching Barrons and Mac fight. Stating they are the best, etc. She wants that too. She had a slice of it before. I got the sense that she is on the outside of the group. Maybe she did something to put herself on the outs.

I thought she was in the middle fighting with them? I remember when it was her and Mac fighting back to back, but I thought it was her, Mac, and Barrons in that snippet. It seems I'm reading things all wrong if she is on the outside just watching and not participating. I guess it Dani is still on the outside then something did go wrong. I also thought the scene with Mac talking to someone about joining them or something along that line was the fae (princesses), and Barrons comes along and tells her to walk away from them or something. Now I find out it was probably Dani she was talking to? I don't remember where I saw that I'll have to check out her webpage and see if it's there in the teasers.

She could be fighting with them but I felt like she was watching. She wouldn't say those things if she is fighting. Plus she mentions how in sync they are. And she wanted it. Wanted that sense of belonging and she had it once.

So I gathered something happened. She lost it with someone...my first thought was Ryodan. No lie.

Lost what with Ryodan? That sense of belonging? I thought she was missing it when her and Mac used to go out fighting together, like sisters and all.

She doesn't have a sense of belonging period. Never. With her mother. With the sheep. She has always been on her own. So that's what she craves. It is not just a Mac thing.
