Am I the only who gets torqued when other people discourage people away from the series by saying there's no romance in it? Makes my blood pressure rise.

I'm really kinda psycho about it, which is kinda funny because I've always laughed at the crazies who populate the JR Ward & LKH boards!

wht funny, is i knoe from reading fever series that it is UF. but i was loooking for it at the bookstore and coulnt find it and when i was browsing in the romance section, there it was in the romance section, and im like fever series is for sure goes in the sci fi and fantasy section.

I totally agree with you Vale and Mariya. I was expecting there to be romance in these books too. Especially how they are placed in the Romance section. I did like reading the first book in this series though, and I guess V'Lane's actions were enough to get it into that category.

I had a question for whoever might know. I have been wondering like crazy who Jericho Barrons is and I think I found out what kind of guy he is. I am just guessing but does anyone else think he is a "Highlander"? At the beginning of book 2 he says he was born in Scotland (were the highlander's are from.)to the detective guy. And I remember from earlier in the book his band that he has on his arm. I was just looking at Karen's other books on B&N and her Highlander series totally reminded me of him. So what do you ladies think? Could I be wrong? I would love your input. Thanks!

we may have gotten clues anywhere in the 4 books and i would have no idea wht those clues were. ill drive myself crazy thinking about it, wait i already did. i need january to be here so i dont have to drive myself crazy anymore.

Lady Vale - I was going to make character threads for the Highlanders but I didn't see a seperate discussion labeled Highlanders - Characters. Do you want me to add them to the Fever - Characters discussion? If so, may I suggest changing the name of the discussion to just 'Characters' - this way they are all centralized in one spot.

there is a folder when you choose new and then there is a drop down list of folders.

I'll create a couple so you guys can see the folder.

Mac was given up for adoption by her mother when she was 1 year old. She was adopted by Jack & Rainie Lane and grew up believing they were her real parents. So it's up to you how you interpret this.

Her mother gave her up we infer from the books because thre were two prohecy's and I think she wanted to protect them. The agreement was that they need to go somewhere remote in the US and never go to Ireland. Mac's adopted parents were warned.

I was thinking that maybe Mac is the person that Barrons is carrying out of the silvers? Could that be possible?

I've wondered that myself Gwen but can't figure out the circumstances.

I think the beast is Barrons and somehow that killing the beast releases him... The LM will track them to where they in the silvers and something will happen to Mac that will be why she sees herself in his arms but she doesnt know its her or that its in the future. All this is bases on if time can move forward and backwards in the silvers. Its just a theroy I have Im probably completly off base but... since there is nothing I can do till the 18th I will continue to come up with differnt scenarios.

Oh I like your theory Gwen, personally I think the Beast is Christian, but i'm sure i'm wrong, but all along I was thinking that from when they were falling and he lost hold of her and he had been changing from her feeding him the unseelie to heal him....

I just can't see the beast being Christian... I mean what ever it is its been living below the garage...but you do have a point about it changing him. My other theroy is that its the dreamy guy. I have nothing to base that on. Gut instict its Barrons.

I would assume that the old lady called her Alian that means Alina went to see her which we wont know what happend with that either till the book comes out... At least its only 8 more days.

I didn't think about that, that Alina may have went to see her. i thought Nana was talking about when she saw tehm as children and that is how she remebers them. Good piont. But she does seem to say this is the first ime she sees her by talkingabout the died hair and stuff. You think she woul dhave brought up seeing her before just recently. And Nana tells her who she is etc. But if the old lady has short term memory she is probably telling her everything that Alina would have asked too.

But.. clearly Mac has been with Barrons when the beast was making noises... It drivs me crazy when I start to think about it. Who do you think the 4th person/rapist was?

I have them all on audio and will be listneing to them all again this week while I am working. I doubt anything new will come to me I have read and listend to them all several times. However I will post more theroies and questions as they come to me.

I think the 4th person is the UK or dreamy eyed boy, remember only Dani sees that blurry dark shadowy thing when she rescues her, I think this was the 4th person hanging around having mac drink from the immortal flask. LM or Darroc doesn't even know there was a 4th person. He says he wasn't in on the orgy only the 3 princes.

yeah I was thinking about that too, about Mac hearing the beast in the garage when she was with Barrons, but remember christian HAS been "missing" since Samhein..... I'm sure I'm still wrong but i'm going with it until I read otherwise :):)

Christian was changing into something when she got ripped away from him. he could have turned in tot teh beast.

Ha said he and Barrons had dabbled in some dark stuff and that the unseelie she fed him might do bad things to him and then he started to change. remember Mac was noticing bu then didn't say anything to him

why would mac say her world is over if it was Christian- I think she'd be devastated- but not feel that her entire world was over if were christian whom,honestly she barely knows?? Sorry not jiving with me.

I'm also not buying dreamy eyed guy as unseelie king- he hates the unseelie- he called the woman sex drainer "it" at Chester's. The UK created the Unseelie why would it hate them so- unless it so regretted its actions? And I feel the dreamy eyed guy is more nefarious than a creature that would feel regret or remorse. (I do agree that maybe he's the 4th rapist and am certain he's fae- just not sensing he's the UK. If I were to guess I'd say he's one of the 4 prince's that supposedly died long ago, obviously, not dead.)

Barrons is the beast who wont die and now I'm leaning toward him being a draghar once trapped in Dagues.

needa new barrons fix, the books were so fun! I dont re-read really so i am in desperate need (lol) of a new book, series that might come close character wise...any suggestions? Not really inot vampires or shapeshifters lol, even typing that cracks me up...

In the fever series, when did Barrons start to like/love Mac?

I think he is surprised by her many times and when he says she is starting to get interesting is when he starts to fall. It hink it takes a lot to surprise him or one of the others like him. that is why Mac and Danni kind of are facinating to them.

I think he felt it pretty early on, based on what Moning has said.

I think there was physical attraction from the very beginning, and then it grew into more throughout the story.

Why does Barrons refuse to call Mac by her first name for a very long time? Is he trying not to like/love her?
