Crazy Uncle Ryan (crazyuncleryan) | 41 comments You know that part in "Despicable Me" when Agnes sees the stuffed unicorn at the amusement park and she gets all excited and says: "It's so fluffy I'm gonna DIE!"? Well, that's tantamount to the level of excitiment I am feeling for the release of "The Wise Man's Fear."

I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!!!!

message 58: by Dallas (new)

Dallas | 18 comments I had wrangled my schedule to have release day off so that I could enjoy the book, only to get a summons for jury duty on March 1. Boo.

message 59: by Tim (new)

Tim Gannon (timgannon) | 1 comments ouch, that is just not right! Especially considering your efforts to have the day off!

Thank you, Dallas, for proof that irony exists.
Bummer! Can you maybe take it with you?

Moving on, if you don't stalk Pat's blog- read this: Interview
Return and discuss. :)

Crazy Uncle Ryan (crazyuncleryan) | 41 comments I ordered my signed copy of the book yesterday! I am SO glad there is actually a bookstore in Salt Lake that has those. So, come March 1st I will have one copy to read and one to keep safe on a high shelf where my toddler can't reach it.

No stores open up early enough. Makes me wish I had a Kindle or Nook.

Keith Mclean | 1 comments It's gonna be great. Finally it gets released, we all read it, we love it and then we get to repeat the same 3 year drama that occured over its release, for its sequel.

message 65: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 91 comments totally. but it'll be worth it.

There really wasn't drama.
There was some incredibly legitimate family developments along with major lifestyle changes for the author, a crap ton of revisions to make book 2 the best reading experience possible and a feeling of fan entitlement that feels like our given right as American citizens. (or free born, if you would like to include our friends from all over)
It's past, book 2 is imminent and all is well. Early reviews make it look like it will be worth the wait.
I'm sure book 3 will be too.

message 67: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 91 comments the drama, was mostly me and my friend screaming OMG! BOOK TWO!!!!

message 75: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8 comments Walked into the newsagent last week, imagine my surprise when I saw tWMF on the bookshelf (Feb 26th-ish). Just finished it yesterday, but was too sleep deprived to enjoy it! And had forgotten tNotW. Going to re-read NotW first, then leisurely go through it again. Man, so much happening.

message 76: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 91 comments wait what?

message 77: by Mach (new)

Mach | 13 comments I have to wait to the 12th to get my copy because i live in Norway and it takes a long time for Amazon to send books here. None of the local bookstores have it either.
