I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me! This has been driving me crazy!

It was a paranormal romance about werewolves/shifters. I can't remember their names at all, but I remember most of the plot. The male lead was in charge of his own pack and he finds his "mate". She's small/tiny in stature and sassy. The thing that I really remember is that the pack actually acted like wolves at times- they bared their necks and kneeled down to show respect to the male leader. They were big on touching too. The female lead shifted for the first time with the pack and ended up having to fight anonther wolf. Also, there was someone in the pack that was trying to hurt the female mate, she was poisoned at one point.....I can go on and on with the plot. Hopefully this is enough.

Please help!!! Thanks!!!

Pack Challenge Ok, she's not TINY, but this fits all the other criteria.

Courtney (mrs_hf) | 173 comments It sounds like a combo of a couple of books from the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh ...Maybe?

Sorry guys but it's not any of those!! I appreciate the help though!

Michelle (fireweaver) hmmm, maybe one of the 'kitty' books? she's not tiny, but there is definitely that touching each other and abasing yourself w/bared throats & whatnot to the pack alphas, and she does get in a fight with a pack member at one point in the series. though i don't think pack interactions come up much in the first book:
Kitty and the Midnight Hour

problem is with that short description, it's a lot like a bunch of series.

No, it's not a "kitty" book either....

Michelle, that was the problem I had trying to find this book. So many books were really similar to this specific book, and it ended up driving me crazy. I finally had to post a message hoping someone would know which one I was looking for!

Lela Gwenn (gwenn) | 4 comments Maybe one of "The Others" series, by Christine Warren? I haven't read one like that, but I haven't read them all. The werewolves are very "Wolfy" in that series.Wolf at the Door

Thanks Gwen, but that's not it.
Nope, that's not it. Sorry.

In the book that I'm searching for, the female lead is human at first I think, and she has no idea about shifters/wolves at all. She also has no idea about mates too. It begins with the wolf pack leader finding her (I think maybe in a restaurant....not sure) and he just knows that she is his mate.

Lela Gwenn (gwenn) | 4 comments Yeah, that's the story line in Big Bad Wolf..she's kinda frumpy and easily overlooked, but then the leader of the Silverback clan sees her at his best friend's engagement party- he is the best man, she is the maid of honor. He realizes she is his mate..etc etc.

She has to run with the pack to be accepted, and she gets attacked.

I checked it out, and that's still not the book I have in mind, sorry....but I am definitely going to check out the Christine Warren series. So thanks for the new tip anyway!

Shelleyrae at Book'd Out | 145 comments Um could it be one of Christine Feehan's Carpathian series? They have a wolf form though arent werewolves.

Martina the Book Fairy (book_fairy) | 442 comments What about The Accidental Werewolf by Dakota Cassidy? The Accidental Werewolf (Accidental Friends, #1) by Dakota Cassidy

There are a LOT of books that come really close. If anything else pops into your mind, let us know - I bet we could find it with a few more clues.

Good news guys- I found it!!!!

It's Ascension by Lauren Dane. It's one of her ebooks so it didn't show up on her book list on her website.

Thanks for all your help- I'm definitely going to read Ascension again and then I want to read all the other books you guys suggested! LOL
