Dangerous Hero Addict Support Group discussion

Okay I've been checking the FX networks lately to catch up on some old action flicks I may have missed. And there's nothing there! Most of it is rom coms and comedies but I come to FX for my action fix! Big hunky heroes blowing stuff up and punching bad guys out!

So I'm going through withdrawals. Sigh. I need my action fix. At least TNT has Die Hard 2 and then 1 in few hours (yay!)

Does anyone have any good action move recommendations? Even if they are old favorites it's all good because I missed a lot of oldies but goodies. :-)

The other ladies here have given great titles, I can't think of many more, except for the Jason Statham movies.

I like that too, Arch. I usually watch the special features on the DVD when I can. I just love the behind-the-scenes stuff. It's usually a lot more in-depth than FX has time to show.

Yeah, the DVD tends to show more.

I also like it when the actor or actress, but mostly actor, if he's a person that I like, do their own stunts and we get to see them in action behind the scenes.

These are great! Some folks on my FB friends list also mentioned the Bourne movies which I may dive into now. I'm jonesing for some Matt Damon kickin' butt. :-D

I need to grab some of those Hong Kong action flicks. Esp Hardboiled with Chow Yun (swoon).

I agree about DVD's, ReeCee. I love the extras and commentaries added to them. I always buy the beefed up versions with the goodies in it to make the who movie experience worthwhile. It bums me out when the dvds lack extras. :-(

Same here, Rae... I willing spend a little extra money to get all the behind the scenes goodies. I discovered commentaries by accident a couple of years, and I've been hooked ever since.

Rae, You can try Once a Thief. The Presidio is also great. With a young Mark Harmon and Sean Connery you can't go wrong.

I love the DVD extras too!

You'll love In the name of the king. It had action, sweeping epic story, magic, and that hunk of Statham in!

I know right! I couldn't go back now. It's like something is missing if I don't see the goodies after the movie. I kinda wish FX would do show the extras after the movie rather than between commercial breaks so it doesn't break up the flow of the broadcast.

Cinquetta, I've been wondering how KFH was. I've only seen the previews but I'll have to make it a point to check that one out! Love the Good The Bad and The Ugly. Eastwood/Leone westerns rock!

Hi Rae KUNG FU HUSTER is a comedy. The karate was good and it have few wacky scenes. The movie was a trip. I laugh so hard I pee in my pants.

Sounds like a blast! I'm going to keep an eye out for it. I think I saw it broadcast on FX sometime ago but I missed it. Will try to catch it next time. :-D

I love young Mark Harmon! I watch NCIS and I love his character Gibbs. He is so awesome!!
