Trisha (mom2twinsplus1) Since I graduated this past weekend and am set for grad school this fall, I'm wondering if that still fits under the "college student" banner? I'm clearly not in my 20's any longer, but wondered if I still fit in the group while attending grad school...

message 2: by Amy (new)

Amy (signgirlamy) I just graduated last weekend, and am starting grad school this summer. I don't plan on leaving the group :)

Trisha (mom2twinsplus1) Ok, that's good, then!

Congrats on your graduation :-)

message 4: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I guess we are all in the same boat! I also just graduated. Congrats to everyone, and good luck in your graduate studies! I'm beginning my MA in History in the Fall. What about you two?

message 5: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker A lot of members have graduated. Some are in grad school and some are working. This group is for students and those of the college age. But I don't think we'd kick out anybody who was active and wasn't a student or in the age group...unless they were super annoying.

Jess Good luck to everyone! And congrats on graduation! I also graduated last weekend, and I plan on sticking around. I start my master's program in city and regional planning in the fall.

I didn't get my application in on time for Grad school, so I am taking a bit of time off. Thought that would give me some extra reading time, but so far, that hasn't happened. :)

Amy (signgirlamy) I'm starting my MLS program in June. Hopefully I'll be a university librarian soon :)

Grad students are definitely welcomed in this group!

message 10: by Tahleen (new)

Tahleen I'm a grad student, and I've been in this group as a non-undergrad student for a year. Hooray for graduating!

Tahleen Woot!

message 13: by Chellebcool (new)

Chellebcool I'm starting on my MA in information and library science this fall at the University of Iowa. Right now I'm just chillin working part time at library and reading, camping and reading some more. I keep a blog for the books I read: http://theprairielibrary.blogspot.com/

message 14: by David (new)

David (canadiandave) I just finished my MLS and I'm a university librarian now. Although, I am hoping to get a public librarian position I just applied for in Lethbridge, Alberta.

message 15: by Yelena (new)

Yelena (Yaltman) I'm starting my MA at Monterey Institute of International Studies in the fall. Grad students unite! Now I'm enjoying my summer off and getting reacquainted with the San Francisco public libraries

Caity (adivineeternity) All you grad students... you're crazy. I just graduated as well, but there is no way I could do grad school, at least not right now. I am considering auditing a couple of courses at a nearby college, depending on costs and whatnot, so I can hone my French skills. I applied for AmeriCorps NCCC. If I get in, I start that this February.

However, I am looking at getting a Master's in a few years, once I've saved up money and lived a life and figured out a more specific direction for my life. "I want to help people somehow, but I don't really know how yet" isn't really cutting it.

message 17: by Tahleen (new)

Tahleen Honestly? Grad school is way easier than undergrad, at least for me. And there were no jobs for me to get.

message 18: by Caity (new)

Caity (adivineeternity) My struggle isn't so much the difficulty of the work or anything. It's the fact that I have to DO work for classes and all that. I just got so sick of going to school, I had to stop at least for a little while after I graduated with my BA in film.
