Elaine (elainereads) | 57 comments How is a record handled when the book is republished under a new title? For example, Georgette Heyer's Powder and Patch (1930) was originally published as The Transformation of Philip Jettan (1923). Do we use the 1930 or 1923 publication date? Should the earlier book have a separate listing?

One edition on goodreads shows a combination of the titles which at least lets you know they are the same book.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Each edition should have its own listing with its own title, but if it's the same book, even with different titles, yes, they should all be combined with each other.

Jenny (narcisse) | 179 comments There is also a spot in the book listing edit page under "work settings" where you can fill in the original title of the book.
