Is this your first Maggie Shayne novel? If not, what other books/ series have you read by her? How is this one different?
Do you like the hero and the heroine? Why, or why not?
What about the secondary characters? Do they add any value to story?
Do you like the way the plot is unfolding? (too fast, too slow, predictable, etc...)
Would you recommend this book to anyone else?
Do you plan on reading the other books in the Mordecai Young series?
Did your impression of the Julie and Sean change from the beginning to the end?
Do you feel like the mystery/suspense and romance were equally balanced? Or does one suffer in favor of the other?
At what point were you able to decide whether or not you like this book?
What do you like least/ most about the author's style of writing?

That's good to know! I'm slowly working my way out of my reading funk, so I'll hopefully put a dent in this one soon.

Is this your first Maggie Shayne novel? If not, what other books/ series have you read by her? How is this one different? A: Not my first MS book, she is my #1 top fav author. I have read most of her books, but not all. I love her Wings in the Night vampire series. This one is not as suspenseful as I was hoping it would be.
Do you like the hero and the heroine? Why, or why not? A: The hero is okay, nothing majorly wrong with him. Didn't like the heroine...why? Hmmmm... too stupid for me I guess... I mean come on just CALL the darn cops already!
What about the secondary characters? Do they add any value to story? A: I liked the secondary characters. And yes.
Do you like the way the plot is unfolding? (too fast, too slow, predictable, etc...) A: Some parts were predictable. The middle was a little slow for me.
Would you recommend this book to anyone else? A: Yes, to Maggie Shayne fans, if you are new to Shayne I would stick to one of her better books though.
Do you plan on reading the other books in the Mordecai Young series? A: YES! Especially with the way it ended!
Did your impression of the Julie and Sean change from the beginning to the end? A: Not really.
Do you feel like the mystery/suspense and romance were equally balanced? Or does one suffer in favor of the other? A: Not enough of either in my opinion. Lacked suspense and the chemistry between Julie and Sean felt forced and thrown in at the last minute.
At what point were you able to decide whether or not you like this book? A: Ummmmm... page 250
What do you like least/ most about the author's style of writing? A: I'm not a good judge since I'm a huge fan of Maggie Shayne. I love her writing style no matter if it's PNR or Contemp/Suspense.
