I think in the historicals I cut the heroine more slack in that regard as in reality what could a female in that time actually do about it?

I can;t stand a heroine who clings on to fear way past the due date. I mean I get it things and men sometimes scare a woman but at some point suck it up and put on your big girl thong! LOL

The heroine who really annoys me intensely, however, is the one who thinks she can always protect herself, pooh-poohs any advice on not doing something dangerous, and runs full tilt into a situation where she needs the hero to save her, usually by putting him in danger, too, to retrieve her worthless hide. I think these are in the category of TSTL, "too stupid to live". Those books become wallbangers for me.

lol Xanti. I hear or should I say read where readers throws a book against a wall. I have never done this yet.

I don't like the arrogant heroines who think they can handle everything, but end up making it worse, either.
