Leah | 19 comments My son (struggling reader) loves mythology but the reviews on the first three books of this series by Michael Scott were so-so.The fourth book, Necromancer has 4 an 5 stars! I couldn't get him to read three books just to get to a good fourth one. Would you say picking up Necromancer without reading the first three would be worth it?

Peanut | 149 comments No. Start with the first and read thru the series. I actually liked all the books.

Jenny (narcisse) | 209 comments You definitely don't want to read that one without reading them in order. The book wouldn't make any sense without reading the first 3.

Leah | 19 comments Hmmm, maybe I could read them and set the story up for him and then give him Necromancer. He's not going to be patient enough to do that, but I would have fun with it. I see there's even an online game for Necromancer that might spark his interest. Now I'm really curious about the series.....Thanks!

Peanut | 149 comments Don't go by the reviews of the books. Form your own opinion.

Misty My kids LOVE that series. My husbands loves them as well, and I think they're pretty good. We've recommended them to friends, and so far they've all really liked them, too.
