Sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Some other great books
Black Dagger brotherhood by J.R. Ward
Mercy Thompson series by Patricia briggs
Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost
Magic series by Devon Monk
Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews
Magnus Pack by Shelly laurenston
Fever series by karen marie moning
Werecats series by Rachel Vincent
Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands.
This list could go on but those are just a few.

Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr
Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
Holly Black fairy series starting with Tithe is pretty good. Or her book White Cat that just came out (I haven't read it).
Kim Harrison has a YA series its starts with Once dead, twice shy or something like that.
That should keep ya busy for a while.

Other than that there is:
The Nightworld series.

I am sure other people will come up with even more than you. I attempted to stay in the Young Adult genre for you as I don't know your age >.<

Wicked Lovely

My top YA Fantasy is The Knife of Never Letting Go

As for adult books-which are in no way YA books, I would go with the following series
BDB

I also liked the Mortal Instruments series

One more-- I loved the
I disliked House of night out its personal preferance.

One that I haven't seen mentioned here, that came the closest to that "can it really happen" true love story of Twilight was
. That one moved me to tears, and has a sequel coming out next month I think.

For YA
Vampire Academy, Morganville Vamps, blue bloods and mortal instruments were all good series
For Adult
BDB-jr Ward, midnight breed-Lara Adrian, Succubus blues-Richelle Mead
these are a few of my favorites!!!

When I first started getting into reading I found a couple of people on this site who read the kind of books I liked. I just tracked there reviews and if they said something was really good I checked it out. Now I'm a constant book hound looking at everyones profile with similar interests and seeing how they review a series and seeing if they have similar review to mine in previous books.
