Richard (mrredwood) | 165 comments So the series is up to twelve now.

Is everyone still reading?

I just finished Changes (my full review) and I think Butcher has gotten quite good at his craft. Nothing innovative, still, but things fit tighter and the characters are better drawn. Nothing will ever top the dinosaur, but he definitely knows how to keep the energy up.

Oh, and there are supposed to be seven to ten more after this.

Lady (bestnewfantasyseries) | 24 comments Hi..keep meaning to start reading this series, but have watched some of the the TV episodes. I like the concept but frankly the acting leaves a lot to be desired..so probably not a good way to judge the series..I think I'll start reading. Good to know it seems to keep up. I'm writing a 9 book series and that is something I'm very conscious of.

Thanx for posting this..

Alan (coachmt) | 14 comments I love this series. I know some people were upset at the "ending" of Changes, but, you know there will be more stories, so cliffhangers are bound to happen.

I read the first of his fantasy series and didn't care for it too much, but I can't get enough of Harry and his pals.

Cathy (cathygreytfriend) | 122 comments The dinosaur was really fantastic, especially if you've ever visited that museum. I agree, I love the way he's grown as an author. And the way he continues to weave the elements of the story together so well, bringing together items introduced in earlier books in such satisfying ways to create a story with more depth than most long series manage. I'm glad to see we have so many more to look forward to. I know he'll keep us entertained throughout.

Mike (mikespencer) | 75 comments I just finished last night. I thought Changes was great. The series really just keeps getting better, though I enjoyed the early novels thoroughly at the time.

I love Butcher's characters and the more he packs into a novel, the better. Changes was excellent in that way, bringing together almost all of the best characters from the series up to this point.

The end was something of a shocker, but it didn't really make me mad so much as it made me wish I could jump right into book 13.

Overall, it was fantastic. I really dig this series.

Cassie (cassielo) | 35 comments I actually think I liked his fantasy series better than the Dresden series, though the Dresden series is getting better and better.

Mike (mikespencer) | 75 comments I'm actually reading both series, but I'm only two books into Codex Alera. I'm enjoying it so far, but I can't speak for the series as a whole obviously.
