Rossy (naughtybookjunkie) | 36 comments I have issues with short stories, so i can't wait to read what you thought of that one.

message 52: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments It was short, duh...(but seemed "short" for one of her short stories), but good. I really enjoyed it. It didn't have the character depth that I usually enjoy, but Emmett and Ria weren't "cardboard cutouts" either. It had some nice, "Oh, I see," moments, and is set before Darkriver had it's more consolidated power-position.

My favorite short is still Tammy & Nate's story, but this was a nice one. I also felt the end was a little rushed, and wish NS could expand it a little more, but a nice appetizer in the psy-changeling world.

Sandra | 25908 comments Damn Qld Writers Festival, why couldn't it be the Sydney one. Then I'd go for sure. And right in the middle of the federal election as well, I've got no chance of being there.

message 57: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Too bad!

message 58: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Just have to keep a look out for when she is in Sydney next. At least she pops over here sometimes, handy with her living in NZ.

message 59: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Booooo! Hopefully she'll head to Sydney at some point.

message 60: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Did anyone get her newsletter announcing her new rock star contemporary book coming in September? Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh

Very interesting... She sez this will no way interfere with her Guild Hunter or Psy-Changeling series.

message 61: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Yep, I'll be getting it :)

message 62: by Lis (last edited Aug 06, 2014 06:57AM) (new)

Lis | 4037 comments I find I've been gravitating to these rock star books more often as a PNR / UF break.... If they don't have kilts, they might as well have an electric guitar.... Good timing Nalini!

message 63: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments I'm surprised its not up for preorder anywhere yet.

message 64: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I'll definitely check it out b/c it's Nalini. I've only read 1-2 rock star books, but I'm always seeing them. Must be the hot thing right now. That, fighters and bikers - they're everywhere I look these days.

message 65: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Seems to be something about the timing. She said it's up for pre-order one place, but no others...here it is:

Nalini Singh: August 9, 2014 blog about new book

First up, ROCK ADDICTION is up for pre-order at Ibooks!! If the link doesn't work in your location, just type in the title in the search bar and it should come up. Let me know in the comments if you have any issues.

There is no pre-order at other retailers, but you'll ALL be able to get the pre-order price of $3.99 during the first week of release. I really wanted to make the launch book of the series a special price, as a thank you to my readers. You are amazing.

Release date: September 9th

Lis | 4037 comments What a deal! I just binged read/listened to this series recently... Nice break from the PNR/UF world and nice fast reads. Gotta love those warm and fuzzy HEAs...

message 69: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I've read and enjoyed the first couple. I have #3-4 TBR.

Lis | 4037 comments Nalini Singh just posted on FB: “Some fun news!! My thriller QUIET IN HER BONES has been optioned by Showtime Networks. So you might see Aarav and the unforgettable Nina on the screen one of these days!”

message 71: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Cool! I’ve yet to start that one. Have ya read it?

message 72: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Not yet. But it’s going on my list. I prefer to read before watching when I can. Just so I can say… “the books better”. Lol.
