Until then...

Now, we swap books all the time. He's reading the Harry Dresden series and wanted me to read it, and when I'm reading something, I'll usually pass it off to him when I'm done.
I never realized until now how lucky I was!

I'm rather new to the goodreads website - but I'm so happy that I found it!
As well, that then makes me a newbie to the Wild Things YA group...but I'm not a newbie to YA!
So, in order to properly introduce myself - here's my Wild Things Anonymous introduction:
I'm 34 and a Taurus
I live just outside of Seattle, WA.
For the past 3 years, I've worked for a large cellular company in their marketing department - creatively responsible for making all things, coordinate with the wonderful color of magenta (I'm just going to put it out there, that I actually detest the color pink - any version of it).
I'm also an aspiring YA Urban Fantasy writer, and currently have 2 manuscripts completed (two separate series, one book in each of them). I'm currently working on book #2, in one of the series - and I'm actively shopping for an agent.
I love, love, love, reading YA. Maybe it's the idea of being transported back to a time, when most of my worries consisted of gymnastic team tryouts, getting asked to Homecoming, and getting my drivers license. Whatever it was, it's made me a huge fan.
I just finished reading Carrie Ryan's, The Forest of Hands and Teeth - and the sequel to that, The Dead-Tossed Waves. I thoroughly enjoyed both of these books and can't wait for the final book in her series, to come out next Spring.
I also just read Shiver, by Maggie Stiefvater. Loved it! And can't wait for Linger to come out next month. Great imagination, not to mention, a fabulous sense of description (who couldn't smell all those wonderful candies, in that candy store?).
I'm also a huge fan of the Harry Potter series. There is just something about how J.K. Rowling writes, that makes me wish I could jump on a broom, and fly. What an imagination.
Anyhow - I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm so excited to follow this group and meet everyone.
Happy reading to all!
