Impossible discussion

I've always loved the Scarborough Fair song by Simon and Garfunkel, but seeing a new version of the song has really made it even more interesting. I wonder how many versions there really are of the song. I once heard that it was a part of a spell, but never found anything to support that, but honestly not searched too hard. Has anyone ever heard of a different version of this song or is it purely fictional?

Never new it as anything than a curse. What more could it be I foind the lyrics laughable but belivible
they were perfect in the story.

when i first saw the poem in the front pages i immediately knew it since ive read it in school also had to try to make my own version!! i was soo excited to read the book once i found out that poem had a part in the book.
i dont think its fictional but thats just my love for being a huge paranormal fan lol
