Robin Wiley (thursdaynext) | 29 comments Every chapter is devoted to another character, or different character group. Most of the chapters end in a cliff hanger or question that leaves you wanting more. Do you like this? Or does it make you frustrated and exhausted?

Kristen (krisnd08) | 13 comments I found that I liked this style quite a bit. I'm all for keeping up the suspense. Sometimes, though, if a chapter ended on a really suspenseful note, I'd flip forward to see how many chapters before the next one with that same group of characters (and every now and then I'd read the first line or so just to see how it turned out :) ).

I also liked it because it kept me grounded in what was happening at that specific point in time, no matter who we were following. Sometimes the hardest part of a big novel like this is getting the timeline right, so having the chapters broken up this way helped me keep the timeline straight.

Jeff | 18 comments I like this style, it's not that unusual in modern fantasy. I don't think that I ever had an overwhelming urge to skip ahead while reading the series. Too often one or more of the storylines are really stinkers and I end up switching to a different book rather than plodding through a tedious chapter or two.
