Ashley (readerandwriter) Rick Riordan has been a very busy man. Not only has he started the "Kane Chronicles" , he has the "Heroes of Olympus" series , the spin off series from "Percy Jackson and the Olympians".

The first book, The Lost Hero, comes out October 12!! There will be 5 books total in this series. The cover of the first book has been released:

The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1) by Rick Riordan

Jenna (jenna_marie58) I'm about halfway through it right now and I'm loving it so much. I think I might be liking it even more than I liked the Percy Jackson series, but that might just be because I read them a while ago.

I didn't know it came out until my brother and his boyfriend told me. I was thinking it was a December release. I may have to go pick it up, but I still haven't started my Harry Potter reread for the movie. Wow, am I behind or what?

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments I'm still waiting for my copy to come. I preordered it months ago but then I got a email from B&N saying it had been delayed.

Can't wait to read it!

I had planned on rereading HP7 this summer and I never got around to it. Now it's too close to the movie release that I don't want to read it because if I do the book will be too fresh in my memory when I watch the movie so I'll compare them too much. I think the movies are more enjoyable when I don't remember everything that happened in the book.

I usually do a full reread and finish right before I see the movie. I think I enjoy them more because they are different, especially Goblet of Fire. It is almost like a whole new story, which sadly, we don't get anymore from the books.
