Me too! I liked it well enough when I first read it but I wasn't really excited or anything. But since I read it way back then I've thought about it a ton and I often think about scenes from the book as if it was a movie I saw instead of a book I read. I enjoy thinking about it.

It's coming out in October 2012.

Marc-Antoine | 312 comments I already have it ordered...looking forward to it.

That's true. The book has a very cinematic quality to it but not in a way that feels like it was written just to sell off the film rights. I think it is just Cronin's style.

Felina Exactly.

Jane (shoxford) | 65 comments I enjoyed it. I want to reread it before the next one comes out though so I remember it properly..

Christopher Cooper | 104 comments This book drove me crazy. Never before was I so torn with if I liked it or not. Like literally from one page to the next I couldn't decide

message 58: by Char (new) - rated it 3 stars

Char Chris, you are not alone! It started off great and then, for me, there was a very long boring part, then it got good again. I feel torn about it, as a whole.
I think I will read the sequel, but I'm not in a hurry about it, you know?

Veronica (veraj121) | 300 comments I have this book on my Nook. But I havent read it yet. I heard so many mixed reviews. I will read it for myself - one day.

Rachel | 701 comments I read this as my first book of 2011 and gave up about halfway through, put it aside, and came back to it. (view spoiler)

Christopher Cooper | 104 comments Charlene and Rachel...my sentiments exactly. Very strange book, which I typically like, but idk about this one. The middle just drove me bonkers. Seemed sort of...moronic. But idk

Dustin I'm not sure if it's already been asked, but is anyone planning on a re-read in preparation for The Twelve, coming out in October (I believe..?)

Victor I want to read this! It looks really good:D

message 64: by Bob (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bob | 26 comments I thought it was a very well written book in which he tied all of the elements of the story together very well. I'm looking forward to the second book of the story.

Thank you, Jane.:) I plan on re-reading it, as well.

Victor- The Passage is a great novel, I highly recommend it. Plus you'd be just in time for the 2nd installment!

Barbara (goodreadscombeebeezee) Jane wrote: "Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone was planning on reading or has read (if it came out earlier in the US?) this book? It's about this apocalptic landscape with vampire-type creatures created by me..."

Barbara (goodreadscombeebeezee) I would say to do it. I just purchased in as an audio book. I'm not very far into it but I'm totally hooked.
