Not just Dakota, LOL -- there are four or five states for which it was/is difficult to find mysteries (and ones that are either still in print or available in ebook form).

I never did post in this thread that I'm attempting this challenge. It's actually the first one I ever started when I joined this group. I'm attempting the Bonus part of the challenge and only using mysteries. :) I'm at 20 of the 51 books so far. You can find my list HERE. :)

Seems like a lot of people have not read a Tennessee cozy. I've got an award-winning cozy series set near Nashville that has won or placed second at the Mom's Choice Awards (adult fiction), IBPA Ben Franklin Awards (mystery), American Horse Publications awards (best book), and was a mystery finalist at the National Indie Excellence Awards. Look for The Opium Equation; A Cat Enright Mysteryand The Magnum Equation. The third in the series, The Fame Equation will pub in November. Thanks.

This reading around the country challenge is a hoot. Love it. I'm hoping someone taking the challenge will thrill be by posting one of my Murders by Design books--they're all set in Florida, everybody.

Also can't resist saying that I'm working on a new series set in the Arkansas Ozarks. Won't be out for a while though.

Thanks everyone! Badlands was really good, I'm waiting anxiously for the next one. It has an ongoing storyline from the previous book, the Highway, so I would read that one first. It's mostly in Montana I think, so that would give you another state. :)

Finished! Have to admit, that different states have different flavored. Think I will only do this once, but may look at folks lists just to get some good ideas.

Congrats Valerie! :) I haven't focused on this one. If one of the books I read meets this challenge, then great! But, otherwise, I don't worry too much about it. ;) I know I'll eventually finish it. :)
