Really? You can get books before they come out?

i dunno. i was talking wit someone and they said that twice bitten is shippingt o me b/c it said umm...ships within 24 hrs. i didnt believe that b/c i ordered a m onth ago and it said the same thing to me but kept delaying the order, but she said yup. it actually shipped so i ordered it again from them and they already shipped it on june 23. i hope i get it by tomorrow though. suppose to be here within 3 days but that is never true. always 4 days.
Dang I think I'll do that next time

i really want morebook in theCLV series 4 books just isnt enough.
lol! I wouldn't do that either....What the heck is a Nook?

I ordered mine from B&N and it should be coming anytime now. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that since I have their membership card, shipping was free even though I wasn't spending $25 on the total order. PLUS it's UPS express shipping not the slower postal service like what Amazon has been using for my recent orders.
I don't blame you for not wanting to pay 25 bucks on the full order.I have to go now so talk to you ppl later

A Nook is Barnes & Noble's eReader, which competes with Amazon's Kindle as well as other nonproprietary eReaders like from Sony.

No how you have to pay more if you're a member

oh, i remember that i was soooo pissed about that to. i just got a member card b/c in the stores there's a 10-40% off on items adn whtnot. i never use to get at B%N b/c of the shipping crap though. but the up side is you get lots of dicount coupons in ur email.

I'm guessing the reason it doesn't count is the way the NYT lists are run. Each week they count the number of sales of each book in that week, and then that's how they rank them. Some books stay on the lists for multiple weeks, which is based just on sales for that week.
I hope Chicagoland Vampires makes the list, but I wonder how likely it is. Aren't they distributed as trade books, not mass market. So they aren't distributed into places like grocery stories?
Yea that would be good....but still I would be so pissed if I was going to buy a book and had to pay extra becuase of member reasons.

that's true, when i didnt have B&N member i just went overstock.com the shipping is like 2 something and i preordered my spirit bound vampire academy book from there and i got it the day after its release date. better option. amazon probally not b/c the same 25 dollars worth for free shipping.

me too. i kinda really wanna contribute to it though, u knoe. b/c ill be recieving my book early. i notice that. the in regular stores i dont see it there but i dont see lots of books there in the first place.

B&N is running the same free shipping for everyone (even if you aren't a member) if you buy $25 like Amazon.
It's just that I was excited about their deals for members. I had been doing my preorders with Amazon but they have started to frustrate me. First they started shipping postal serivce instead of UPS which is slower. Then they've changed how the super saver free shipping works on preorders. If I order 5 preorders and ask for the super saver free shipping, they don't ship the books until the last book is available. For instance, if two books are out in July, one in Aug and two in Sept, none of the books will ship until Sept!!! They used to ship them as they were available.
Now what I just learned about B&N and am excited about, is that w/their member program they don't require the $25 purchase to get the free shipping PLUS they use the faster UPS. So I can do preorders there and get them faster as they come out.
