Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

I found author S. K. Yule. Has two profiles one profile has 3 books, I added one book and it went to this profile. The other profile has more of her books. I may have over looked, but I cant find out to combine the two or delete one.
I hope I'm posting this to the right discussion. Sorry if I'm not.

Laurie, I've combined everything I could find under S.K. Yule. (One profile had a space between the initials, which is the incorrect format for GR but appears to have been imported that way from Amazon, sadly.) If you find any other books by this author which are not listed under the correct author profile, could you link to them here? This is indeed the correct place to ask, and thank you for catching this problem and letting us know!

Thank you so much! The author contacted me for reviews and I wanted to get this straight before putting a plug in trying to get her to join GR. Thats all of her books for now.

Imported data from amazon is often problematic, in my experience.

There are two profiles of one author:

because she has two surnames and sometimes she is written with one and sometimes with both. If someone could combine this profiles it would be great :)

The author has to be changed on each individual listing - including the quotes. I'll help with it.

I'm having trouble with that too! There seems to be several Amanda Rose Authors on here. I tried to upload my book but it went under the other author's name. Can someone please help me straighten this out. Thanks!!

Ok, this is now you. You may want to request to join the GR Author Program by clicking "Is this you? Let us know." at the bottom of the page. For future reference, your author name has an extra space between first and last names. It doesn't show up on your page or book pages, but it helps the system keep you separate from the other author of the same name. :) So when you add any additional books, you may need to edit them to add the extra space in the author name to push them to your profile.

Oh stinker. I was just going to take a look at the other Amanda Rose by saying I was going to combine - then not really doing it - and I accidentally combined. I've separated again and I hope that will teach me to just not be so nosy. Anyway here you are now Sorry.

Let me go back and retrieve those quotes too. AHHHH
