Ann (annrumsey) | 16951 comments I read seven books in June, higher count than usual lately. A week of vacation certainly helped the count, and the heat was a factor too!
Holly Blues
Shiver
Saving Ceecee Honeycutt
The God of the Hive
Burning Lamp
Shoot to Thrill
Caught

Albert, Susan Wittig Holly Blues finished 6/2/2010 Library 9 of 10 Christmas with McQuaid's ex

Stiefvater, Maggie Shiver finished 6/9/2010 9 of 10 sweet, almost magical love story

Hoffman, Beth Saving CeeCee Honeycutt finished 6/11/2010 Audio 9+ of 10 Heart breaking at times, yet uplifting, this is a very special book; the narration of the audio performed with such well done southern voices added to the enjoyment.

King, Laurie R. The God of the Hive finished 6/20/2010 Library audio download 9+ of 10 The focus on Russell and her encounters with the Green Man and Holmes' new family members was enlightening and suspenseful.

Quick, Amanda Burning Lamp finished 6/22/2010 Library 8+ of 10 Arcane Society Historical

Tracy, P J Shoot to Thrill finished 6/28/2010 Library 9+ of 10 great to connect with the Monkeewrench gang again and hard to put down!

Coben, Harlan Caught finished 6/29/2010 Audio 9 of 10 intricately plotted, hard to put down - and ultimately a thought provoking glimpse at situations that no one wants to face.

It was great! I hope you like it. One of the female characters voices sounded a lot like Dolly Parton which was a tiny little jar to my reading as I listened, but I really enjoyed the voices in Saving Ceecee Honeycutt.

I don't know....It's getting really far out to me...I didn't quite "get" the whole green man thing...I want to read more about Sherlock and Mary and less about all that other stuff.

Several people on Laurie R King's Virtual Book Club agree with you, though I found the last two books fascinating. They are different from some of the earlier more duo oriented books, but I enjoyed reading about Mary's independent activities and (liking a little woo woo in my books) was intrigued by the Green man. The discussion thread here on God of the Hive was very interesting to me.
