Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 89 comments I just put together a blog post about some of the fireworks moments -- the ones that made me go "Yes, finally!", "Oh, God, no!" and the one I re-read to make sure that's what really happened. While I asked my readers to share thoughts, I knew our group here would have PLENTY of great moments to share.

So, what are five of your favorite fireworks moments?

Short version of mine:
1. Eric and Sookie finally hook up in Dead to the World
2. Dimitri telling Rose, "Love fades. Mine has." in Spirit Bound
3. Unintentional awakening of Kalona in Untamed
4. Discovering the real reason Bill returned to Bon Temps in Dead and Gone
5. Learning who took Dawn's father and why in Midnight Reign

Jessa Slade (jessaslade) | 114 comments In Jeri Smith-Ready's WVMP books, when Ciara (human) and Shane (vampire) are getting busy and he gets a leetle too excited and you wonder if he's going to kill her, I actually found myself holding my breath, thinking "Uh oh..." The next book in the series is out soon, so I'm excited. Bring On The Night

In Ava Gray's Skin Game, the heroine is a con woman who doesn't realize she'd being lied to by the hero. When she tells him she loves him, my heart broke for her because she doesn't know what weakness she is revealing. I wanted to kill the hero for letting her say it, but he wanted to kill himself too so I forgave him :)

Gemma (bookmoodreviews) | 511 comments 1. When Kistne was killed in the Hollows seires. I think it wasEvery Which Way But Dead. That was a "Charlie" moment for me. As in when Charlie died in Lost.

2. When Xhex was kidnapped at the end of Lover Avenged. That was just.......

3. When Kats Mom had been turned in Destined for an Early Grave

Dija 2. Dimitri telling Rose, "Love fades. Mine has."

Ditto. This moment still haunts me, and will most likely continue to do so until Last Sacrifice comes out.

1. The last plot twist before the ending in Nineteen Minutes. I re-read that scene at least 3 times and then shut the book to give myself time to absorb what had just happened.

2. The ending in Before I Fall. It was so shocking, tears actually sprang in my eyes. Thank God I was alone in the room.

3. The ending to The Luxe series. I'm still not over the fact that Di and Henry split.

4. When Ethan died in Pride (or was it Prey? I tend to read series as a whole, not individual books, hence the scenes get mixed up in my head, so sorry x_x). Anyway, his death was a definite "Oh, God, no!" moment. He was my favorite character after Marc and Faythe. :(

I'll add others as I think of them. :3

Joseph (bluemanticore) | 216 comments One that comes to mind is the way Jim Butcher's Changes (The Dresden Files, #12) ended. A real shocker there. I wasn't sure if I had read it correctly. Going to be interesting to see where the series goes from here.

Another is all the characters that were killed in Carrie Vaughn's Kitty's House of Horrors. Some of them I really liked and how she had developed them throughout the story and it just killed me that she killed them, I was looking forward to seeing them again in the books that would follow.
