Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9496 comments I returned 61 Hours by Lee Child unread. I just wasn't getting to it, am preparing for an audit at work in a couple of weeks and am not finding a lot of time to read. Plus I think my knowledge of the general tenor of the end of the book leaves me a little deflated about reading it. I'll get it back.

That didn't stop me from picking up a couple of new holds, however, including: The Magicians by Lev Grossman, Faceless Killers by Henning Mankell and The Pure in Heart by Susan Hill.

Melodie (melodieco) | 3679 comments I picked up a copy of 61 HOURS cheap on eBay and am looking forward to it. I tried Reacher before and couldn't get into it. Hopefully this one will be different.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16944 comments Dan: I am with you. I usually devour the Reacher books and am eager to get to this latest one.
I have the audio cd's of both 61 Hours and Ice Cold waiting for me to finish listening to The Burning Wire: A Lincoln Rhyme Novel. One of them is going to have to wait after I decide which book I get to first but I am not sure which!

You have my sympathies and understand completely that you may need something different (than Reacher's sort of violence) right now. Good luck with the audit prep and I hope you find time for some reading that promotes relaxation and calm!
