Heather (mrsgeek) | 2 comments I was excited to join the group at first, thinking it would be great to get book recommendations from others. Now I'm reconsidering. I guess when I read a book, I read it just for the love of reading. Hell, I read the label on a soup can or back of a cereal box just to be reading. I spend so much time having to read things for class and work, that I'd rather sit down and read whatever I want and not have to worry that there is a deeper meaning behind it.

Is everyone ok with that too?

William Akin | 6 comments Please don't misconstrue my motives here. I assure you my rant was a personal attack, a challenge for that specific person.

AB Freeman (bignothingbooks) Heather, Will and I exchange barbs from time to time. It has nothing to do with the nature of the group. He just likes to tell me what to do. And I like to tell him to go to Hell. That's all it is and all it ever will be. Join away! And please mention to your friends...

William Akin | 6 comments indeed, call it a fringe benefit of group membership, our little show.

of course the gist of it is repetitive, we do find new and novel ways of approaching it.

AB Freeman (bignothingbooks) It's grown so difficult, but we've handled it in different ways. I moved across the planet, and Will lost all his hair. Tragically, we are still gluttons for punishment. Thus, we both know I'll never move back and Will's hair is gone for good.

But as for a book rec, I have to suggest The Short Wonderful Life of Oscar Wao...after perusing your book list, I think you will quite enjoy it. Fun little read. :-)

Heather (mrsgeek) | 2 comments You two are quite hysterical then. I'll be sure to keep up with the show.
