Steven, I have only read "Gates of Fire" (referred by my Uncle Gary) but it was extraordinarily stimulating! Your descriptions of battle reminded me of another author's ways with battle storytelling - Eric Van Lustbader in his "Sunset Warrior" trilogy.Both of your styles put me into the characters mind and help me 'feel' the action written. Kudos to you both! Have you read any of this trilogy? If not, you might want to! - Jeff
