I'm still on the Agatha Raisin books by M.C. Beaton, just finishing Agatha Raisin and the Wellspring of Death last night. I'm hoping to receive Mockingjay from Amazon today. I preordered it from them.

I starting reading The Name of the Wind about a week and a half ago. I love fantasy books and when I saw this book as the first of the trilogy and having hundreds of raving reviews from Amazon, I immediately jumped aboard. Boy, was I wrong. This book is pretty horrible and I'm about 80% done. If you look at the number of 5 star reviews on Amazon for this book, you would never have thought that so many people could be wrong (well, at least in my opinion).

Just started The Crying Tree: A Novelby Naseem Rakha; it's about finding forgiveness for the unforgivable.

Just finished Second Glance and just started The Boy in the Striped Pajamas upstairs and The Widow Killer downstairs (because that way I don't have to run up and down the stairs to find my book whenever I want to read).

I've added The Moses Expedition to my current reading and I am really enjoying it. It's a real page turner.

The Dramatist: A Novel. I'm catching up on the Jack Taylor series (this is #4). I highly recommend Ken Bruen to those who like dark crime novels.

Well, I went and did it. I got obsessed with finishing the Agatha Raisin series before reading anything else, and there are so many great ones waiting for me. At least I only have 2 more in the series to catch me up. I've read 18 of the 20 in the last few weeks. They are quick reads, so I just decided to read them all.

I am now reading Daisy Miller and Other Stories by Henry James

Will start reading Chevy Steven's "Still Missing". Heard many great things about this book so I will give it a shot.

Finally, I'm through with the Agatha Raisin series (until the new one in October) and have gotten to Mockingjay

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson for my in person book club.

I recently started I Shall Wear Midnight by Terry Pratchett. It seems to be much more serious than the first three parts. I find that development quite interesting.

I'm currently reading Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir. When I met the guy at book signing, his attitude really discouraged me. No matter how messed up your childhood is, you shouldn't be so rude to your fans. (I went there because my fiancé loves his music) But the book is quite interesting, and my opinion of him is starting to somewhat change towards the positive.
Also, will soon start reading 12 Million Black Voices for my English class.

Just started The Likeness: A Novel & then heard from my library that Last Call: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition is ready for pick-up at last! Looks like I'm doing double duty.

I loved it. There are some heartbreaking passages that just hit the nail on the head with relationships. How can Franzen write so well from a womans point of view?

I read the first chapter of "Freedom", loved it, but forced myself to put it aside to read my bookclub assignment, "In Cold Blood" which I sort of hate since I grew up in Kansas and remember when it happened and when the pair of murderers was hung.

I finished The Moses Expedition and did enjoy it. Quick page-turner but very interesting.

I'm on to The Gentle Axe by R. N. Norris which I need to finish this weekend for my in person group next week. If you are a fan of Crime and Punishment you might enjoy this one.

Am currently reading Villette by Charlotte Bronte and The Girl with the Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. I am enjoying both very much.

And of August 2010 I finnished read a book "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott, and I started to read book "Small Island" by Andrea Levy. Last week I also start to read book "Women of the Silk" by Gail Tsukiyama.

Have you seen the movie "Little Women"? And if you did, is it as good as novel? I enjoy watching the part of the movie that I caught on TV, and it looked really good.

I'm working on Lost Souls by Dean Koontz. It's the 4th book in his Frankenstein series. I thought he was stopping at 3. I haven't determined whether I feel like he should have stopped at 3. Guess I'll find out in another 100 pages or so.

Hi, I first watched on TV couple years ago TV version from 1978 "Little Women" few times and I really like it, and than I watched also movie from 1994 "Little Women" with Winona Ryder and Susan Sarandon.

Ok, the author hooked me, so I downloaded the rest of it. Have no earthly idea when I'll get around to reading the rest of it. I read enough first chapters and samples in the same length of time I could have read several complete novels. Must start on "The Wet Nurse's Tale" for bookclub Oct 29th. Author's coming. Have any of you read it?

Finished The Gentle Axe - very good - and Death of a Cozy Writer - also very good and amusing too.

The Book Thief is in my opinion totally overrated. Didn't enjoy it so much. Earned two very weak stars.

I'm currently waiting for Watership Down to arrive at my library and started The Golden Compass in the meantime.

I just finished reading "The Outlander", which was very good, and started Michael Connelly's new book "Reversal". From there, I will be reading James Patterson's "Blink" despite the fact it got a bad writeup on Amazon.

I'm reading La Catedral del Mar, a book in Spanish about the medieval Barcelona. It's a beutiful story, I would advise it to all the people who can read in Spanish!
