Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I've just come across two lists on GR's Listopia that got me thinkin'. So, I thought I'd pose these questions to the group. :)
You can click on the question(s) to view the lists here on GR.

So ...
1: What Book Would You Like to Live in?
and ...
2: What Character Would You Most Want to Sleep With?

ROFL! These are great!! Going to check them out right now!

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments :D Right?! Definite chatter starters.

1: What Book Would You Like to Live in?
Fantasy worlds I think would be interesting, if only for a little while: Katniss' world (Hunger Games), Harry's world (HP, of course), really any "open" world would be cool. Seeing supes of all sorts wandering the streets. :) I think it would be cool to pop over into John Taylor's world (Nightside by Simon Green). It's always painted as being full of such wonderfully wicked and sometimes horrible things. (Hi, Gore Girl here!)

2: What Character Would You Most Want to Sleep With?
This one is MUCH harder to answer! I'm only one girl and there are so many luscious little hotties in bookland. Might look a little on the "ho" side if I named 'um all. LOL! I have to say, I'm a sucker for accents, no, not southern ones, I got that already down pat. I'm talkin' Australian, British, Scottish, Irish .... ahhhhhhh So, those babies would probably be at the top of my "if only" list.

Ooooooooo! you mentioned accents and I forgot about my other guilty pleasure reads... ANY historical romance by Julie Garwood, especially all those highlander style ones! Mmmmm

Time to go back to that list! lol

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments 1. I wanna live in Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling world. I'm not sure if I want to be a changeling or a changeling's mate. Or both. But I'm attracted to Kaleb. I'm sick, I know. *looks down in shame*

2. Apparently I'm a bit of a slut. I entered my choices a while ago and I've noticed I've read a few more books on that list since then. For one of them I have two characters listed -two! I tend to go for the dark, sarcastic and tortured characters who often have a deadly side/occupation.

message 7: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Maybe I could be the product of a psy and a changeling union so I can get the best of both worlds. I've thought about this in too much detail, lol!

message 8: by Laura Lulu (new)

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) | 1603 comments Steph, have you read the Outlander books? I haven't checked out the lists you posted yet, but I'm guessing Jamie Fraser is up towards the top. As much as I love my paranormal hotties, that Scottish man takes the cake. He's a perfect blend of tough, strong & sensitive. Gah.

message 9: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jul 28, 2010 07:44PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL Ames! I would love to step into that world too! Hard choice though ... changeling or mate? Both? Love that you thought about it enough to come up with possible other options. hehe

Laura, I haven't voted on these lists. I didn't create them or vote, actually. I might take a closer look soon and actually vote on/add some books. I just saw them and thought they'd make for interesting discussion at the group. :)

I haven't read the Outlander books. Sounds yummy though. I'm off to scope them out. :) Tx!

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Ok, wow! I popped over to get more info on Outlander and WTF? 853 PAGES?! Come on! I'd have to read book 1 while I am pushing through challenge reads, that would could never end up on one b/c I don't know that I'd get anything else read for the month. LOL! But, I saw you rated it 5★ as well as noted that you would've chosen read over sleep. So ..... maybe, I'll add it to my rec list and see if I can find it at the library. Will I need a forklift?

FlibBityFLooB | 173 comments Steph -- Outlander's a good contender for audiobook due to the size and the Scottish accents ;)

You will thank me after you read it, I promise. And then you will add Jamie Fraser to your top 5 fave book dudes ever. :)

And I know you didn't make the lists, I was just guessing that Jamie would be on there before I went & scoped them out and I was right, he was #9. :)

GREAT idea, Flib! I'm going to check for that at the library. I'm game for listening to someone else read it to me and hope they have a hot accent as an added bonus. :D

Ok, if I can track down the audio version, I'll give it a go sooner rather than later. Thanks for the rec!

Just making sure, didn't want people thinking I'd created those lists when I hadn't.
