Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

As I was perusing the quotes, I noticed this "author" kept posting quotes by herself. She had a list of books to her name, so I thought nothing of it.

But looking closer at her profile, she admits she is not the author of any of these books and isn't really an author (she says she's only a teenager but she writes poetry) and doesn't know how to "change" her page.

Somehow she was given an Goodreads author account when she shouldn't have is my guess. Any ideas how to rectify this? Especially since she keeps posting quotes?

That is weird... I see the dicussion on her page with Sam where she states she didn't write the books. I wonder what happened...

I know, right? I thought maybe there was a way we as librarians could fix it, but I don't think that's possible. Maybe it's a job for a super? In the very least, it just looks bad that a teenager can "impersonate" an author with the same name. Not that she's claiming she is, but I was fooled at first, lol!

Needed a GR staff member actually. All fixed.
