Janny (jannywurts) | 1006 comments It has been mentioned that (at this point) the 'first impressions' topic may be redundant, and to reduce clutter, just to post the spoiler for the current week's discussion - may I have reader opinions, please?

My feeling is that (opening each volume) it helps let readers on the fence decide if it's worth the plunge - but as the story gathers speed, this may have less value.

So post your first impressions on the chapters without spoilers if you like, and also, say whether the next round might eliminate the nonspoiler thread. Your take?

Richard (thinkingbluecountingtwo) | 155 comments At this point I'm very happy to lose the non-spoiler thread, as I'm now well into my stride and too many threads can soon confuse me, but I can appreciate it's worth for the first chapter set of each book.

I agree with this, I think first chapter set of each book would be plenty.

Charles (charliewhip) | 141 comments It will work fine for me, as long as we remind everyone (especially ME, the absent-minded professor), when the SPOILER ALERT is in effect. Sometimes it is a little difficult to post non-spoiler messages deeper into the volume and deeper into the series.

Consider it done - the non spoiler thread will vanish, as of next week, except for the first set per volume.

Thanks for your input!

I seriously doubt it. I have lost my wallet 3 times this year and locked my keys in my car twice. And I have trouble remembering exactly what details emerged where in the Wars of Light and Shadow. I am great at synchronicity, but weak in chronology. Some professor!

The better you get at living, the less you need to drag around bits of the redundant past...eh? I have never figured why car keys have not been supplanted by something more efficient. My horse comes when I whistle. Surely we could make 'cars' with voice recognition, with keys only useful for loaning the vehicle.

That's how I'd do it in a fantasy book's world.
