Sarah (goodreadscomsepxo) | 41 comments I was so mad at the movie!! I thought it was horrible compared to the books (no offense to the Percy- Jackson-movie-loving-fans)!! I got it for my bday though.. so i didnt tell anyone that cuz i felt spoiled and i didnt want to upset my family.... anyways .. I cant wait for the heros of olympus to come out!!

Ya i haven't evn read the book but it didn't seem like it was that good and i figured people that had read the books would be angry.

message 10: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (goodreadscomsepxo) | 41 comments Yah the whole time while I was watching the movie I was keep on saying " HEY! thats not what supposed to happen!" or "Wow! That part sucked! It was nothing like the book" and my sister and mom kept saying "SHUT UP!!"

message 11: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (goodreadscomsepxo) | 41 comments But you should defenatly read the series (if ur into that type of books)

message 12: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
ya. i probably would be. I like Harry Potter and Hunger Games and fantasy type

message 13: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) i liked it, but like i said before, if they plan to make movies of the rest of the books, they are gonna have a problem.

message 14: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 18, 2010 06:53PM) (new)

It's not really very much like Harry Potter or the Hunger Games. Sure it's fantasy but its humorous too.

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
well yes but my friends that like Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight, Mediator, and such like I do tend to like Percy Jackson too. Even if it's not the type, it could just be that they're all good books.

message 16: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) yeah, that could be it

message 17: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (goodreadscomsepxo) | 41 comments Caitlin wrote: "i liked it, but like i said before, if they plan to make movies of the rest of the books, they are gonna have a problem."

Yeah! Just like the Inkheart movie! It was nothing like the book! (Well, mind you, I didnt like the 2nd and 3rd books, so I probably wouldnt like the movie too)

message 18: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) i didnt like inkheart... at all, but i liked the movie, so im glad it was changed

message 19: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

I liked it!! It's a good book. The whole series.

message 20: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) it was SO boring

message 21: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) i could barely get past the first chapter

message 22: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
I know but good books are boring Caitlin. Deal with it!!!!!!!!

message 23: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) nuh uh, good books arent boring, thats why they are GOOD!

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

that's true, I enjoyed Inkheart, but it was really hard to get past the beginning

message 25: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
I mean good books are really really really boring in the beginning.

message 26: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) not the hunger games. its the best book ever

message 27: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
i liked Inkheart... but i also didn't like A Series of Unfortunate Events even though a lot of my friends did, but I just didn't.

message 28: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
Yes it was Caitlin!! To me at least and confusing too. I liked The Series Of Unfortunate Events. It was good to me but it was kind of weird and confusing but in all I liked the whole series.

message 29: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) ive never read A Series Of Unfortunate Events... I meant too, but i just never got around to it.

message 30: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

i tried reading it but stopped at like 10 pages or something because i got bored

message 31: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
Gosh it gets better Courtney. I understand a lot of books are boring in the beginning but you got to get really good into the book before you should put it down.

message 32: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
well i usually do read in further but i just usually like the ones with interesting beginnigs

message 33: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
They are not that good of a book then. I should know I know a lot of them.

message 34: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
no the ones wih interesting beginnings get me hooked and theyre good

message 35: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
Yeah but the boring ones in the beginning are the best!

message 36: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) well if there any good they outta have an interesting setting and main characters... therefore an interesting beginning

message 37: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
What??

message 38: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
i agree for sure. Zoha like in the beginning it introduces the characters and setting and if the characters and setting are boring or unrelatable, which also makes me dislike a book, then the whole book is likely to be the same. I don't mean to put words in Caitlin's mouth but i figured thats what she meant. (Hehe I'm spelling her name right now without even thinking about it. Just noticed.)

message 39: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) haha. good, nah i agree, plus you cant like a book if you dont like the characters.
have y'all ever read Life As We Knew It?
i read the book The Dead and the Gone which is by the same author on the same subject
i liked it, but not Life As We Knew It
mostly because i hated the main character in Life As We Knew It

message 40: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
ya. wait why did u hate the main character

message 41: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)

Zoha (sunnysideuplollipop) | 2096 comments Mod
I disagree strongly with that, and I will leave it at that.

message 42: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinannm) bcause she came across as a spoiled, prissy girl. you know, like the popular girls in weird disney movies they only show on disney channel
the ones that are mean, but everyone wants to be their friend because they are "cool" or "pretty"

message 43: by Court:), Founder- It's gametime. Are you ready? (new)

Court:) H (justloveit---ch) | 873 comments Mod
o ok

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

I didn't quite get that from her, I mean I didn't really like her and she might have been spoiled but prissy???

message 45: by Zoha, Books. Got to love them! (new)
