Sans Up to 85. I'm trying to see if I can start and finish another book today but sleepiness is interfering. Grr.

Sashana Sans wrote: "Up to 85. I'm trying to see if I can start and finish another book today but sleepiness is interfering. Grr."

You should take nap; you'll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to read. Are you trying to read 100 before January ?

message 106: by Sans (new)

Sans Yep, I am. I've tried napping but I can't seem to really sleep. I'll doze a bit, then wake up still tired. I think it's more my dreaded gift from mother nature than lack of sleep. I'm always dragging and struggling for energy the first several days.

message 107: by Sashana (new)

Sashana That sucks, I'm willing to bet you're a serious coffee addict. Am I right?

Can you handle 15 books in two months? Though from what I've seen in this group that's nothing for some people.

message 108: by Sans (new)

Sans I used to be! I worked at Peet's for over a year in college and I couldn't go an hour without coffee. Nowadays, my coffee addiction is nearly non-existent. I have half a cup or less every other day but that's about it. I mostly drink water during the day, sometimes 7-Up, but that's caffeine free.

Hmmmmm. I think I can. I have several "slim volumes" on my shelves that I'm thinking I should read. And several Harlequin Historicals. If I stick to reading books that are less than 300 pages, I think I can do it.

And I know! Some of our friends here are amazing. I'm really in awe of how many books they devour!

message 109: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I don't think I'll ever touch coffee. I already have problems sleeping; can you imagine if I decided to become a coffee addict? I'd have to start calling myself a vampire.

I know, and they have kids or a job; or kids AND a job lol. It’s funny but before goodreads I use to think I was in a league of my own when it came to reading. This challenge particularly has been a slap in the face.

message 110: by Sans (new)

Sans Exactly! My friends would be shocked at how many books I'd read. But after joining here? I'm a veritable slow-poke.

message 111: by Michelle (new)

message 114: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (lifeasabooknerd) Thanks girls. :) Don't think I'll make it past 200. Not even counting all of the books I read to my girls. Too much going on in my "real-life" to escape to books as much as I'd like to sometimes. :) Hurry up and come with me. LOL

message 115: by Lisa S (new)

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) Congrats Michelle
