Patricrk patrick | 435 comments I could have read this chapter a whole better if I hadn't kept falling asleep with my finger on the page advance key of my e-reader.

It now takes 4 people to do the job that one had been handling before. Still if 4 people can avoid a civil war I suppose it is cheaper than a civil war. And someone who can say enough, I quit. (note Bentley he is making use of his assistants to avoid burnout)

Sorry you are having problems with your e-reader.

Patricrk patrick | 435 comments Bentley,

Why don't you open up the rest of the chapters for comments. Not that I have any for chapter 14 at this point. The group has really seem to run out of energy on this book.

Patrick Sprunger The group has really seem to run out of energy on this book.

I have to apologize for being a part of that problem. Antiquity isn't really my thing. Despite a honeymoon period with Gibbon, I'm afraid my enthusiasm just waned.

I will Patrickrk as I catch up this week. I was fairly behind (on vacation) and am catching up. I think that with all books folks catch up. It is odd that so many folks voted for this book (I did not) and then are not reading it. I think this book takes a commitment. I am fairly busy at work and will get to things this week. You do not have to apologize Patrick; you can catch up at anytime. I really enjoyed both your comments and Patricrk's.

Folks before I open up future threads, are there any further comments on Chapter 13. I have been hoping that folks would get caught up. Please feel free to place them here. You can discuss any pages up to 399 on this particular thread.
