I always see scrabble in the other groups as a seven letter word so I'm going to "up the game" here and start us with a longer word. Rules are the same, change 1 letter and make another word.

Example: direful

Response: builder (changed the f for b)

Next person makes a new word from builder by changing a letter and rearranging them as needed.

Sure, but it seems a little hard for a group with only 5 members. If we had more members, then perhaps ... or else, we'd be stuck with only one word.
But, sure, if you wish, we could continue with 'builder'.
