just pulled a something off my bookshelf that i forgot i had . CASTING OF THE RUNES and other Ghost Stories by M R James. It is the Oxford classics Edition with a great Intro by Michael Chabon.
Some of you may remember the movie Night Of the Demom
Which was a very faithful adaptation of the short story.
Scared the hell out of me when I was 7.

James can't be beat, that's for sure. (all those who've heard this before, please turn your heads) - I wrote a little bit about him here.

Best ghost story teller, hands down!

I really do love him. He's also the rare ghost-story writer who can work in humor without killing the mood of the story.

Geesh, that's another author I went to Kindle to get and found that I already have it.
