Ask Selena Kitt anything... yes, anything! ;)

message 2: by Mrs. Missive (new)

Mrs. Missive (MrsMissive) How do you deal with unwanted advances you may recieve from fans? I am sure you get lots of invitations, pictures, and indecent proposals. Do you have a standard thanks, but no thanks response? Or do you deal individually?

OMG you have no idea! For some reason folks assume that because you write erotica, you want to have sex. With them. Right now. I've had requests for panties (worn of course - come on!) and offers of plane tickets to other continents. I've had propositions (and proposals) from both genders. And because I write some taboo stuff, I get even more people who, let's say, push the usual boundaries of sexuality. Except they do it in real life - whereas I just write about it as fiction. I don't know if this happens in any other genre... I mean, do mystery/suspense writers get emails from serial killers?

For the most part, I ignore the really crude ones. I found out the hard way that responding at all seems like encouragement, so now I just don't. People who are earnest and genuinely have questions, I usually reply to. I've had more requests for relationship advice than I can count.

Maybe I should be a sex therapist? :)

Mrs. Missive (MrsMissive) There ya go! There can be an Ask Selena page. (Oh wait that's kinda what this is isn't it...;p)

I love talking with people about toys to try and the like, but...yeah there are a lot of not cool people out there.

Gotta love those little ignore/block features that most sites have.

BluetheMan | 2 comments Ok so a little late to the ball game, but I guess this is the point where I apologize for that letter I sent you the other day. LOL :-)

Wait a minute so you are saying that you won't have sex with me? LOL

I really do hate it that people take things to the extreme and think that just because you do something you obviously have to do it in real life.

BluetheMan | 2 comments Ok so I am back but with an honest question this time. :-)

I am reading Generations Henry and I am really curious about the fleshlight. I have wondered if they really are as good as they say they are. I don't know anyone with one and I was wondering if you asked guys that you knew with one their thoughts on it. Those darn things are not cheap but if it is good I think it would be another fun toy for me an the wife to play with.

There's a whole forum on the Fleshlight site (www.fleshlight.com) - just go to the very bottom of the page and click "forum." I read the posts there. Guys seem to really like it! ;)

When I ordered the one for the contest, I ordered one for hubby, too (because who could resist? not me!) and he says it's awesome! *grin*

Wait until the contest is over before you order, though. You never know! lol

xoxo

Honey Bee (sometimes I sting) (honeybeeincanada) Hi Selena,

When might we get to read Nolan Confessions? I know it was due out this month..... I've been waiting and watching for it...
Please don't change it to much for the a-holes at Amazon....

message 10: by Selena (new)

Selena Kitt (selenakitt) | 31 comments Mod
I'm holding off, maybe indefinitely, on releasing that one. Sorry!

Honey Bee (sometimes I sting) (honeybeeincanada) That's sad! I hope it's not indefinitely, Under Mr. Nolans Bed was fantastic and a follow up would be great. Hope everything else is going good.....

message 12: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahkb) | 3 comments Loved Under Mr. Nolan's Bed. So Sad that the sequel is on hold. Do we need to start a petition?

message 13: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 1 comments Loved the baumgartners. What happened to Doc's parents? They were in the plus one book but the they are never really mentioned again.

message 14: by Selena (new)

Selena Kitt (selenakitt) | 31 comments Mod
Nothing happened to Doc's parents... they're still living back in Boston, alive and well. :)

message 15: by Bobby (new)

Bobby | 1 comments Since this is the "ask anything" thread here goes...

Why the indefinite delay on releasing the Nolan sequel? I noticed that you didn't say that you're holding off on writing the sequel, but instead that you're holding off on releasing it, which is quite different. Don't tell us that Amazon's censorship has given you second thoughts about which topics are safe to cover, or are there some other factors at work that you can share?

Honey Bee (sometimes I sting) (honeybeeincanada) I'm with Bobby here, if its all because of Amazon please think about releasin it.ppppppplease ..{whining like a 2 year old, throwing hand up in the air and stomping my feet}....PLEASE!

Habu Habu | 1 comments Ask Selena about anything? ANYTHING?? Hmmmm.

message 19: by Sam (new)

Sam Crescent (samcrescent) What made you decide to start up excessica and the taboo subjects of incest and forced seduction? :-)

message 20: by Zany Rin (new)

Zany Rin (zany_rin) I can see that I am among the many here that are dying for the Mr. Nolan sequel and it would truly break my heart if it is never released. I LOVE these characters and need to know what will happen next even if that means buying the sequel straight from you or hell even from a UK publisher. Please please please Ms. Kitt I am begging here just like Honey Bee. Hell I will even sign Sarah's petition if necessary!

message 21: by Saskia (new)

Saskia Walker | 1 comments Selena, please tell me there will be a sequel to Sibling Lust: In the Fold...if not, you're in trouble. ;)

message 23: by Epic (new)

Epic Sex Stories (epicsexstories) | 3 comments Selena, what got you started writing erotica?
And why do you think you're so successful?

message 24: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) Will the girls only series ever be put in a box set?

message 25: by Gerald (last edited May 20, 2013 01:59PM) (new)

Gerald (mychrema) | 11 comments And, for those of us who really want to get a sequel to the original Under Mr. Nolan's Bed, (the best one), any chances you can give us the original sequel? With Excessica Eden being able to carry it, and even those idiots at Amazon carrying the second edition of the original (what a bunch of putzes, they ban the original, and here they are, stocking the original version, 2nd edition)I think it's time to get the real deal. I've seen more than a few people who want the real deal on the boards, the trilogy just didn't do it. We want the real thing, please.

message 26: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) I just started Letters to the Baumgartners and realized that it is a sequel to The Baumgartners Plus One, one of my favorites. Any chance you will ever give Gretchen her own book?

message 27: by Allyson (new)

Allyson (allysonbelyea) | 1 comments Yes! I agree with Justin....Girls Only Boxed set :-) And have you been working on anything new lately? I've read everything you've written, in need of another Selena fix!!!!!

message 28: by Justin (new)

Justin (justineaton) Well it looks like both of my requests here ended up happening, there is a girls only boxed set and the description of the new Baumgartner book sounds like it is all about Gretchen. Awesome! My only question now is, where can I buy the girls only series for my kindle? Amazon only had it in paperback, will digital be available also?
